    For 33s
    Mostly city = 4.88s
    Mostly hwy = 4.56s

This. I have 33x11.2 tires with 4.88s gears. In the city they're nice, but on the highway the RPM is slightly too high. I'll often find myself trying to shift into the next gear before realizing I'm already in 5th and that there's no next gear. However, I take the bad with the good. I get decent MPG running 285/75/16 tires, and off road the extra gear reduction helps. With a manual, getting into traffic the extra reduction helps. On the highway most of the times I just stay in the right lane going the exact speed limit to maximize MPG. I think you already know how underpowered the 2TR is, and with 4.88s you can still accelerate in the highest gear without needing to downshift while on the highway. I dont know if you have auto or manual, but with a manual at 35MPH I'm already in 5th @ 1500RPM with conservative driving. At 65MPH you're going to be at about 2500rpm. Your RPMs will be higher than factory, but you will be in a better place in the power band for road driving. Everyones driving style is different and interpretations of economy driving seem to vary, but I get 21-23mpg regularly so I'm happy, but I'm also getting passed by everyone so keep that in mind.

If you actually offroad and have a manual go with the 4.88s, you'll appreciate the extra reduction and less clutch work, if you're auto go with 4.56s.

4:56 is what I’m going with.

consider weight too. Be good to the motor with re gearing.
