    Thinking about snagging this:

    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/223736054235

    And this:

Toyota 04428-04010, CV Joint Boot Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KTHPVY4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MzNDEbDAWC2GS

    And this:

Genuine Toyota 90311-47013 Type-T Axle Shaft Oil Seal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GFI2GWG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_IANDEbSQANM7J

And finally fix up the front end with an ECGS bushing too.

then eventually gotta get with @Arcticelf to fix up the 2 year old power steering rack leak.

and and I gotta buy new rear shocks too lol so many things to fix! Maybe I’ll get it all done during this social distancing

I feel like these are one of those things that are too good to be true. Is the busted one on your truck now, OEM ?

I forget, I got them from CVJ so maybe?

I was thinking about getting these and rebooting the ones I have on there. I only need outer boots.

I have a some maintenance to catch up on:
    • serp belt with all pulleys
    • outer boots for current CVs or new CVs
    • ECGS bushing (I have the bushing and the tool)
    • CV to diff oil seals
    • New shocks down the road :)

I was going to say that I have 2 spare OEM CVs that I want to send to CVJ, but I could spare one to you if you have an OEM one to give back

that's very gracious of you. both my CVs need outers and have the orange high angle outers.

I think I'm just going to suck it up and see if I can simply pop mine off and reboot them.

I fully expect my truck being down for a little while if I start this endeavor on my own lol

rebooting isnt bad, but I think you need to take the diff side off to get to the other one

yeah, to replace the diff seals and swap the ECGS bushing in I'd be taking both CVs completely off.

I was waiting for a mod day for some help, buuut if this keeps going on i'm just gonna pull the trigger

Its not horrible alone. I did my passenger seal by myself. It definitely helps having another person to help if/when you get frustrated

yeah. @MY50cal and I did my CVs the first time. We tried the pry method but at the time my IFS skid was stuck to crossmember (just fixed this year) so we had to go the slide hammer and hose clamp method which was really only possible with 2 people lol

If I reboot, then I learn how to reboot them and I'll buy the tools to do so. I think CVJ was going to send me new replacement axles ready to go since the neoprene outers failed in less than a year and a half.

Maybe thats the route I'll go lol

This is the CV Boot clamp tool that you need. You need 2 breaker bars to get enough force to clamp. And this tool has the square receivers for 2x 3/8".

that's the exact one I have in my list. I also have this little guy in the list as well - https://www.amazon.com/Performance-...=1&keywords=seal+puller&qid=1584988821&sr=8-9

This guy made it seem pretty simple for one person to do.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ4_7G12Esw

I emailed CVJ, hopefully I can get some of these on order this week, along with the rest of the parts from rockauto

    https://www.cvjreman.com/product/9808tr/

    Rockauto

    Front Left (Driver's Side) https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8876864&cc=1432865
    Front Right (Passenger side) https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1840786&cc=1432865&jsn=3998&jsn=3998
Tensioner, belt and pulleys - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5614359&cc=1432865&jsn=8820

Then next week or the week after have a fun week of working on the truck lol

@Arcticelf - These might be the move https://f-o-a.com/shop/f-o-a-2-5-inch-id-reservoir-shock-12-inch-travel/ Although i'm not sure what specs I'll want without having a think first.
