my dog sleeps in the bed of the truck in the shell. He hates it lol. I put his bed down, crack a window and out a couple of blankets on him. He’s fine he’s just used to sleeping in the wife/my room. The entire family goes up top and he hears us but he deals.

Wish I had a shell! He’ll probably fit in the tent with us as it’s just 6 inches above the bed so I can lift him in. But it’ll be cramped and some nights he’ll be muddy.

I have a nice platform built for him with the back seats folded down. Just need a way to get him ventilation without the rain getting in.

I have a CVT summit series RTT with a telescoping ladder. I’m building an off-road trailer and am looking for a slider older style ladder. Anyone have one for sale? A damaged one would work as well!!

Pm me if you know of anything.

Vent visors would work but then I don’t think I would be able to get something like these screens over them. I had looked at the weathertech visors but I don’t see how they would work with it unless you guys have recommendations.

Dog crate won’t work because I have a tonneau cover and am using the Mobtown bars to keep that tonneau. Good idea though! Eventually I’ll have a cap and he will sleep in there.

Man that's what I'm saying. People got crazy money around here.

I'd suggest the Smittybilt Overlander for a budget RTT.

Just noticed the rear window is a lot more straight up and down. With the RTT near it, odds are lower of water getting into it.

Could ventilate through there. Just need to think of a way to screen it.

why wont vent visors work? I have them and leave my windows open by at least 1 inch every day. Nothing goes inside unless its a torrential rain storm, and then rain is going up..

is that not enough ventilation? I dont have a dog, but I have slept in my cab with the windows open under the visors

Good point, I guess I have not tested it to see if its enough ventilation! Would not be having him sleep in there in hot weather, so I would think it would have enough.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
What's your location? I have a telescoping in the garage waiting to install and replace the slider once I open the tent next warm day.

I would put a bolt from the tent side down into the rack. I also use a sheet of 1/8 steel cut 4" square for the "washer" on the tent side.
