So basically 2.0 final will be our “example tune” and we can do what we want from there?

I have a fair amount of HP tuners experience (not in about 10 years though) so looking forward to the prospect of some logging and tuning on this truck.

I gotta say, this is a neat idea. A single tune will never appease everyone so why not give the individual the option to tailor it to their needs. I dig it.

@OVTune so that I'm clear, if we only have the Flash Kit there will be no tune files available for our setup after 2.0 final. Is that correct?

    So @OVTune ,

How easy is it to completely screw up the tune? Can you give any info on built in safe guards? Also, will there be multiple instructions for how to change tip in, shift points and most frequently requested intems?

It sound fun but easily dangerous at the same time.

That’s the first question he answered. 2.0 is the last tune he’s doing. And it was a bonus. Originally he was going to stop at 1.05

I understand that he will not be providing any additional tunes after 2.0 final but my question was also trying to understand if 'shared' tuned files could be loaded using the flash kit.

So if you are trying to share a tune you’ll have to have the software. You already have the cable if you have a flash kit.

A menu driven approach allowing you to select different options off the final tune would be especially helpful

Question for someone who has used a 87 and 91 tune.

From everything I have read a 91 tune has a considerable increase in power / performance over 87.

Aside from that, my question is between the two tunes what mpg were you getting?

From what I understand, you will need the vF license, and the tactrix cable.

vF Tuner will work with any J2534 cable, there is an option to buy from us, or you can source your own. (flash kit cable is J2534, for previous users).

So vF license and tactrix cable along with flash kit are all required for custom tuning? Dongle user now and just trying to get an understanding off all thats needed for custom tuning in the future.

If you have our flash kit (any form of it. p5f, dongle, etc) you can have a vF license for $79. That's all you need. Then use our flash kits OBDII cable for flashing.
