I've used the search function with no success. Besides the Magnaflow $650 Performance system, is there a more reasonable bolt on system for the 4-cylinder? I've checked Gibson, Dynomax, MBRP, and Magnaflow, with no luck; everything is for the 6 cylinder engines. I want a more aggressive sound, but no drone in the cabin. Am I just going to have to go to a muffler shop and have something fabricated, and hope for the best? Wouldn't have thought it would be this hard to find a system.... Any help would be appreciated!

It's kind of strange that most of the exhaust systems are listed for the 4.0 V6 but if you go to Summit Racing and search and select the 2.7 4 cyl, a lot of the same systems come up as fitting. I think the muffler and tailpipe section would be the same for the V6 and 4 cyl systems, it looks like the intermediate pipe going from the cat-back to the muffler might be different. Some of the systems have the hangers welded to the intermediate pipe so if you picked a system and the I-pipe needed to be shortened, that might result in cutting off the hanger section. The Dynomax system looks like you could cut the I-pipe down to the length you need without messing up the hanger section that goes in front of the muffler. Someone here put the Dynomax 39447 on their 2.7 AC. It sounds like he had to elongate the flange holes but it bolted up https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...access-cab-exhaust-help.330994/#post-14252455 and the rear tailpipe hanger needs to be rotated 90 degrees for the 2012-2015 trucks.

Yes, that Dynomax system will work on a 2.7 liter. I ordered one, but it kept being put on backorder, so I cancelled the order. Ended up buying this stainless steel system at a decent price off of eBay.

It's also made for the 4.0 liter, but it fits the 2.7 liter (no modding needed), with the flange being only a little different in size. Sounds quite nice too.

The " Stainless" AFE muffler I received with theAFE cat back kit started rusting one week after I installed it...! VERY poor quality and most likely manufactured in China...That is my bet! That AFE muffler is also an empty can that does not mitigate any sound on a 2.7 Tacoma. At full open throttle it puts out the worst blood curdling shriek I've ever heard!!
