Can anyone get me a rough measurement of top of rack to the lowest point on the front of rack? Basically the height of the rack. I need to know what size pieces of sheet metal I will need to cut my side pieces from.

    Thanks

Where are we on Removing/Cutting/Drilling the weather stripping?

I just got my Prinsu in the mail after getting the non-functional OEM rack removed and the weather stripping replaced. I'm not going to super-mod this tacoma and honestly, the OEM solution would have been sufficient for the winterSki and summerKayak seasons. I'm worried that this is overkill for me but it's the best permanent solution available for early 2020s.

I'm going to silicone the hell out of this when it's installed, but I'm super nervous about ruining yet another set of weather stripping. (it took 5 months to get the OEM fitment issue resolved and I'm still sore about it)

--> Basically, I'm hoping to try the rack out without the stripping for a week or so, then if I like it, I'd drill holes and re-install.

    Am I missing something?

The choice is yours. If you think you might want to remove the rack some day and not have to replace the weatherstriping just remove it.

Or drill it out. Then buy this for when the time comes.

Installed my rack today, pretty painless. I did have to trim the front “feet” a bit to clear the sun roof to my liking. Worth the money, glad I decided to go with @CBI Offroad Fab and the Prinsu rack.

Finished Install of the Cab and Top Rack today on my 2020! I really wish you would add the option on the website to order the wider mounting brackets for the Leer Caps. I had no idea I would need special brackets because my rails are 42" apart. Other than that I love how it looks with the voodoo blue!

Looks great! Kinda makes me think about having my cap painted to match instead of LineX.

What brackets did you go with?

I have a ARE MX topper that has a bulge both front to back and side to side. I've been stacking washers to level out the feet but I don't like it. I ended up ordering some Sherpa Equipment Co. adjustable feet to replace the prinsu ones. https://sherpaequipmentco.com/components/adjustable-track-mounting-feet

I emailed with Will (the owner of Sherpa) and he said that they installed one of their racks on a ARE MX just fine.
They have contoured and non contoured feet. He said contoured feet have 9 degrees from flat. My tracks are only 2 degrees so I went with the flat brackets. He confirmed that would work best for me.
I should be installing them this weekend.

I don't have a part number but I called CBI Offroad/Prinsu directly and asked for the leer mounting brackets for the top rack. I couldn't find them on the website or a part number.

Post some pictures of them if you can. I didn’t know they had other mounts.

Just swapped out my prinsu 1.5” mounting feet for Sherpa mounting feet.

I did this because I have a ARE MX shell that bulges up in the middle. I reused the .5” prinsu feet on my middle crossbars. I still had to put a few washers under them, but that is way better than 4+!

I now have the ability to tilt the whole rack up and down. This will be very helpful when I design my own can rack that will line up with the top rack.

Does anyone know, if the front windscreen is removed, can you fit Baja Designs LP6s on the front extrusion?

You’ll more than likely have better luck fixing the issue emailing prinsu directly instead of posting on here.

Already did. This is what they said “These bolts are zinc coted and will turn color and rust as the coating wears
    off.
The best way to protect them is to wiper them with wb40.
I would also wipe the side rails and wind deflector to protect them also,
and will keep the rack look new.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.”

Just sucks this starts after a week of installing it. I get rust prevention but it’s just quick to worry about it.

Their recommendation was to WD40 the panels? That doesn't protect them it just greases them up to make them look dark again.

I'll take a peek at my hardware when I get home today. They baked in the sun daily for a few months before I got my work truck and they're pushing 2 years old now. I never pay much attention to them but now you've got me curious to see how they look.
