Thanks. It’s full caged to the frame, because 600hp in a tin can is a really bad idea.

Had a few more little goodies arrive last night.

Since this is the 1st automatic I've owned in 20+ years, I'm pretty stoked about this...($99)

I'll post up pix of the final install once this thing is mounted where I want it. But this GMRS radio will come on handy on trail runs, camping trips etc... ($150)

If I end up using the radio a ton I will upgrade to a 6db antenna to get a little more reach out of it but for now this set up will be fine.

I'm also planning on ordering the Denso 210-0461 (suzuki) alternator and doing the big 3 wiring upgrade.
    Screenshot_20200317-071413.jpg

After that, I'll start playing around with a winch bar/plate mock up but don't plan on pulling the trigger on that until I see how things are going to play out with this economy/virus sh*t.

But definitely looking at either a warn 8k or possibly the 10k.

With me and a full tank of gas my everyday weight in the truck is around 5k. Add another 500-800 for extended camping trips and that puts me pretty close to the limit on an 8k winch, not including any added pressures of being really stuck, like buried in the mud or snow haha.

    We'll see...

Picked up an ARB cmka12 compressor after work a couple days ago. I had big plans to do a twin compressor, 2.5 gal tank, hard lines etc and pretty soon I thought...why?

So I'm gonna keep it simple right now with this little guy. If I feel the need to upgrade in the future I'll do it but for now this should get the job done.
    20200327_090941.jpg

Had a little time yesterday afternoon so I fabricated a bracket, to hold the compressor, out of some flat stock 16ga. sheet metal.

Should be able to get the install on the compressor finished today.

Finished up the compressor install. Everything seems to be solid and working nicely.
Tried to take my time and clean up the wiring harness/ solder any ends that needed it.

Since then I also went through and serviced the diffs, transfer case and engine oil/filter. The previous owner had done a nice job on rounding almost every bolt/plug off and had everything way to tight! I even had to break out a 20lb sludge hammer with a breaker bar to get the front diff fill plug out.

    It was a mess lol.

Anywho, changed all the fluids and filters, ran them for a week, then changed them all again. Everything should be nice and fresh now and back on a regular service schedule.

Next up? ... Not sure at the moment. Kind of keeping an eye on the carrier bearing and the driveline. Still having some vibration issues but it's not getting worse.

Might do the alternator/big 3 upgrade or might start working on the front winch mount.

Nice clean looking rig, always wanted a TRD, but it looks like I will have to build one instead

What was the drama with the lift install? OME Dakar’s aft? I went with their HD pack with an AAL, and 883 up front. UCAs?

Curious as a I am getting ready to install a set of JBAs on my rig, the rest of the suspension is done(for now).

Yeah, with how old these rigs are your pretty much committed to building one the way you want it.

As far as the lift install, just basically everything that could be stuck or break, happened lol. Just try to presoak everything you can and hopefully it will go smooth for you. It's not rocket science haha, just old rusty/stuck parts.

Not much drama on the lift. You just need to keep it aligned while everything is settling in. I did the 882's because I get the 3" with a little softer ride since I don't have any weight upfront. The jba's seem great so far! Just use the recommended grease and keep everything lubed up!

    Good luck!

Sorry for the slow response. You have probably figured it out by now but... it's just upgrading your wiring on the battery, alternator and ground etc so get better/more efficient power flow in the vehicle.

Yo yo! Hope all is well man! Say hi to the crew, lifes been absolutely nuts and I'm just going through the motions waiting for shit to calm down haha!
    Where do I even start...
    * A tree fell on my mom's house, fucking destroyed part of her house and I'm the only kid living nearby AND I'm a contractor so guess who gets to fix it? Lol
    * Next day, the wife gets sent in for emergency surgery! She's healing up now but what the hell...right!
*fast forward a week... My boss that I sub contract for falls off the roof (as I watch and can't grab him in time) and breaks his fucking neck in 2 places and his back in 3!
    * So now I'm put in charge of running his entire business, daylight to dark dude!
    * A week later my mom calls and says oh btw, I just had an MRI and I need to be life flighted to Portland (5hours away) because I have a huge brain tumor and the doctors say I shouldn't be alive!
    * So now my mom just got back and needs 24 hour a day care, while a running my bosses business, and taking care of my healing wife and trying to get my moms house rebuilt from a fucking tree falling on it!

Crazy days man... I think my fingers are bleeding from trying to hang onto this ledge lol!
