Really getting jealous of everyone that has extra time on there hands now a days. For some reason it’s really important that people get their brand new shower doors installed.

I'm surprised that's allowed. Was supposed to get new flooring last week but they cancelled bc of everything that's going on. Most business don't want to go in people's houses right now. I don't blame them, I honestly wouldn't want people working in my house right now either. Stay safe

The extra time has been awesome. I still can't believe they put us on telework. 1 day in the office this week, 2 next/repeat. Got most of the passenger door cut apart on my '49 for the new latch installation, then I burned up my dremel. So equally as happy that Home Depot will be open today :) I want to finish that damn door already. I did the driver side a month ago, then went away for 2 weeks and w/ everything else haven't had time to do it....until covid paranoia.

Also hoping the local NAPA is open today or tomorrow so they can raise the coilovers. Figured I'll go up 2 threads on the passenger side and 4 on driver. Then need to do the install.
Also gotta figure out what happened to the rear leaf springs. I'm about 1" lower on the driver side. It came out of nowhere back in January. No broken leafs either.

Yeah I had to tell my boss I don’t give a shit I’m not going into home owners houses. So now I’m stuck in new home construction. At least most of the boulders are taking action and only allowing one trade in a home at once. Until someone goes off schedule.

My mother was in RE for a while, and I leaned a lot from her regarding valuation, pricing, trends, etc.
Financially, in an unsettled market, there will always be a number of people that are not earning enough of a return from savings or investments, and fall into the mindset that they can make money in RE.
Combine that with the CCP virus, where people want to escape an area that they suddenly realize is not healthy, or secure, or where they really want to live.
Third, some people want to believe that they can improve their life by moving to a better neighborhood, or better school district.
Fourth, some people think that that a better car or a better house will improve their status.
Fifth, housing prices are relative, meaning, that when you take a picture of a shoreline at a time of day, from a particular location, in a particular direction it appears a certain way. Change the level of the tide, the cloudiness of the sky, time of day, place where you take the picture from, etc., and take another picture, it can be near impossible to correlate the two pictures without landmarks.
So many factors, including banks that will do just about anything to capture your monthly mortgage subscription, and the prices no longer seem logical.
Finally, houses are only an asset if you are purchasing them for a business, otherwise they are a liability.

If you find a house that fits your current snapshot, buy it and move there. If you are getting a mortgage these days it is all funny money, so whats another 10k? If you are buying with cash, I wouldn't necessarily divulge that until AFTER you make an offer, that is contingent upon your financing.

Yeah it took us I think 16 months. We were living w/ the in laws while looking. Then one day a house popped up on a Sunday and I called the realtor to go see it. We offered full price no contingency with 15 mins of being there. We knew it was the one. We still love it 6 years later. Just need 7" more of garage height and it would be perfect.

It's really just the arm that comes down off my garage door opener. I've got to figure out if there's a different one I can use. I don't know much about that stuff.

Get springs that go on a torsion bar above the door and the motor with mount with a chain on the wall the door is on instead of on the ceiling. The springs last significantly longer than the ones that go along the track also and if set up right, can be quieter IMO.
