was quadding at the beach and woke up in the morning and my Banshee, which was cabled and locked to the step of my motorhome, was gone. The cable had been cut in the middle of the night, and my wife, myself, and dog, none of us heard anything. The rest of the cut cable was still wrapped around the motorhome step. When the officer arrived to take my report, he claimed that if you use a plastic wrapped cable, when the thieves use bolt cutters, the plastic covering on the cable acts as an insulator to make bolt cutters cut through the cable silently. The officer said if you want to keep your stuff, NEVER use a plastic wrapped cable, you HAVE to use a chain, as the bolt cutters can not cut through a chain quietly. Makes sense. By the way, the Banshee was never found. So on any of my stuff that I really care about, like a Honda generator, I use chain, if I dont care so much, I use a plastic wrapped cable. I have cut a lot of chains and padlocks at my work with bolt cutters and it makes a lot of noise when you cut through them.

Throw it in the back seat, lock the door.
