If you are a dongle user you will need to click the tuning tab and select legacy software from the dropdown.

ETA @ArmoredDucky123 You have the wrong version of flash manager. Correct and latest version can be found here. The version numbering doesn't make sense but it is correct.

    https://www.ovtuned.com/blogs/news/flash-manager-1-3-0-released-with-new-logger

Make sure to uninstall all previous versions of FM then do the purge data, install all software, update routine in the new FM and you should be good to go.

Anyone ran both 2.0 base reg fuel and 2.0 super fob reg fuel? Any Mpg/power difference?

a couple people have but I dont know that they've put enough miles on for MPG numbers.

Theres def more power in SuperFOB. its the fat kid special.

    I'm on base regular personally.

I started with the Prem SFOB, but it was a little touchy for my daily driving.

After a few weeks on the Prem Base Tune, the Truck/Tune has taught me how to use a MT again and I thought I'd give SFOB another go. I tuned the truck to Prem SFOB before the ride home today.

I'll try to post back after the tune settles in.

P.S. The Prem Base Tune is really nice - I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. It did take some adjustment to have a normal MT again after all the crazy crap I had to do to drive this truck stock.

I'm running 2.0 reg fuel, base super fob. No real change in mpg. I'm going to to try the base 2.0 soon. Mostly looking for a little jump in mpg. I do like how the truck drives on superfob tho.

I'm rolling S-FOB Premium, into my first full tank. 17-18-19 MPG around here, to town, etc no freeway driving

Was running old rev FOB 91 before. 15-16-17 MPG around here.

The basic difference is I can get into the higher gears sooner. I don't get into the 20's until I do true highway/freeway driving.

I'm getting right around 20 on the display with premium sfob.

Thinking about trying base the see how i like it. I only want smooth, performance is not necessary for me in a truck. I had to try though

I think I'm sucking more fuel on 2.0 tunes. I can't help myself to hammer down on the throttle

Wish I could have bought a tune before they sold out...but I missed it so here's a rant about the stock tune.

Over 5,000 miles on the stock tune now and I'm over it. The disconnected feeling with the throttle makes for a weird driving experience with an MT. It's much better after doing the ADM, but the throttle response is so wonky and disconnected it's killing me lately.

Only MT I have ever driven that you need to exaggerate letting off the throttle before clutching to upshift just to avoid having the revs hang forever between shifts. If driving normally, you can't just let off the gas while clutching in at the same time or you won't get a smooth shift. I'm not gonna wait patiently between shifts for the revs to fall while babying every shift, driving like I'm 80 years old on Sunday afternoon...just to get a smoother upshift.

You should be able to drive the thing normally. This issue becomes even worse when you end up revving to 4,000 rpm because you have no low end power at all.

Dead throttle response when taking off quickly in first gear unless I ride the clutch and rev it up. It seems to ignore anything I do with the throttle if the engine is under 1500 rpm, then it suddenly comes alive after it passes that point. Similar behavior in second gear at times. Once again if you baby it out into first from a stop it's fine...but I don't drive like I have infinite time and don't like being slower than 90% of the rest of traffic behind me.

No power under 3,000 rpm. I can be cruising, floor it, and get the same throttle input as half throttle was giving me (or maybe the same response as even less throttle was giving me).

Not reasonable to keep the motor above 3k rpm during normal daily driving. Sounds like I'm street racing...and losing.

Very chattery/clunky clutch disengagement at slow speeds like parking lots or off roading. It's like it the throttle doesn't know you've completely lifted your foot off it just before you clutched in to avoid stalling. Then clank clank clank. Looks like you don't know how to drive a stick.

    Minor annoyances-
The throttle delay after getting back onto the throttle when upshifting into 4th.

When downshifting you have to basically floor it to get the engine to respond while rev matching.

Taking off in second gear from a roll is terrible if you're going 5 mph. The gearing paired with the crap throttle response and torque makes it very slow. Even if you don't lug the engine, taking off from an 8 mph roll in 2nd feels pretty dead. Part throttle or full throttle nets the same result...especially until you pass 1500 rpm.

Honestly the most difficult MT to drive smoothly and effectively that I've ever been in. I thought I just needed to get used to it, but no it's a weird one.

I do like it offroad and it does really well! Could be better, but it does good. 4 low second gear lugs a little sometimes, but that might be a gearing conversation. 4 low first gear is too low for some situations where second lugs along the trail over roots etc.

TLDR: Frustrated with this MT on the stock tune. Wanted to get the tune on there now to assess if I made a bad choice or if the tune does make it so much better.

Keep an eye on the buy-sell-trade section. A used kit will show up.

I think I freaked a couple people out with my mileage numbers. People need to know I have 4.88 gears and and I use an awful lot of the throttle travel. OH I try........but it feels......smooth and it feels...good.

I know for a fact the sooner I get into the higher gears the better my MPG will be. And as stated I just don't general do a lot of freeway driving. At some point I need to see what ultimate MPG I can eek out in 6th.

Anyone here know Novelty Hill? I can do that in 4th. With torque to spare.

Just got back from trip to the cabin to see if the snow had melted enough to get in yet. 126 mile round trip and got 17.3 mpg 10 miles of in town @ 35-45 mph the rest was highway @65-80 mph, 3300 ft elevation to 5500 ft.

Thank you for that suggestion and I have considered it. I just wonder how hard it would be to get a license from OVtune. The current state of the world isn't great, as we all know.

I bought my kit used. After emailing him and sent him some pictures of the unit, he sent me an invoice for my license.

Man. I can't remember what gear I use going up there. I know that I like to play in the curves when there isn't someone in front of me.

I know a Flash Kit newbie that got a REG file this Monday. So, EcuTek seems to be in operation.
