Thank you for the kind words sir!

No, I did not. However, with the 3" lift I did not install a diff drop. Not sure if that makes the difference or not. My uncles 2015 with the diff drop vibed and we returned it back to stock height at his request.

Got the 4.88 regear done. Ordered thru SDHQ (opted for non REM) and installed locally. Didn’t drive much so far but in town driving feels better. Shifts really quick!, but, higher RPM’s nonetheless and seems to stay in a much healthier rpm band that feels much more appropriate.
I’ll continue the update as the break in procedure continues, and my impressions

Gears are performing awesome. Have a few trips and a tad over 1000 miles on them now. Off road and loaded for camping on hills is amazing. Best mod by far.

    I’ve also completed another task.

RX350 w/ STI-R lenses/tuned projector retrofit, BLHM, and amber demon eyes. Also added a sport grille for now till I finish up my custom one

First pic is the stock projectors and cut off. I was running aftermarket bulbs so it’s a tad blue in the picture.

How’s the ride with the full length bilsteins? Is it stiff at all?

Also, How’d you fit the 17x9 wheels?

Rides great. Better than kings lol. I’ve had kings on 1st gen Tacoma’s before and it’s just a tad too stiff for daily driving. Off road they were good but my truck is 85% on the road

The 17x9’s fit with no mods, it’s all in the backspacing

    Mahalo!
    I sold them locally

Wassup braddah, how you liking the procomp? Trying to decide on a 6" and dont know which one to go with. Lots of guys running BDS, procomp or allpro... Leaning towards BDS, but its a pretty penny

Rahja, good to hear. The procomp you can fit those 17” rims? The tire rod on the BDS installs top side down, so cannot fit anything under 18”. Didn’t know it was different for procomp?

    Fit them no problem.
I’m pretty sure pro comp mounts the tie rod to the spindle the same as BDS, so I’m unsure why they say minimum 18” wheels are required. A lot of us run 17” on our 6” lifts

Nice truck! Sucks that your first set of 5100s crapped out on you with less than 500 miles on them. How much did it cost you to ship parts from Headstrong? I live in Hilo too haha.

I’ll update this thread this week.
The truck makes Maks easy. I don’t go to Green Sands cause everyone goes there..and I don’t like struggling to find an empty fishing spot haha

Im also on 35s now so

    Some updated shots

Since I've been gone for so long, its going to take me a while to update the first page of this thread.
Major changes were 35s, new Summit Offroad 17x9 rims, ARB onboard air, Rigd Tire Carrier and a full size spare, Bilstein 5160s 28" extended for the rear, u bolt flip, timbren bumps-stops, and a u-bolt flip kit.

As of now, the truck has 17,4xx miles. I've already tired out the Dakar HD leaf packs...I'm starting to sag just with the tire carrier and spare loaded. To remedy this, an order has been placed thru Alcan for 6.5" springs to hold 600 lbs (figure the carrier and spare combo is nearly 180 lbs already). This will also eliminate me needing the block, which I've been wanting to do for some years now.

Alcans are in. Quite a bit of rake empty bed, but have to remember, there’s nearly a 200lb load at the very rear when I have my tire carrier/spare 35 on there

Broke in the alcans, also caught a few fish

after the trip, while cleaning the truck I noticed my old Dakar leaf spring setup was contacting my shackles…started to slowly tear into them - so I just ordered some hammer hangers with greasable 3.6” shackles from @ARCHIVE

i can tell it’s not from my alcans since the Alcan pack has no sign of wear/surface rust
