Billy at bruteforce fab made a "light version" of his plate bumper for me. Total it's probably just over 100lbs and solid as a rock. Might want to consider something like that to get the protection and look with lower weight

 

My wife already placed the order for the bumper, so too late to make any changes. I went with them because the sliders I got from them are solid, and they have been great to work with. I also think their bumpers look great. The bumper is about 130 (at least thats what the website says. Add in the winch thats sitting in my basement, and total is up to right under 230. The way I see it, other than going hybrid or aluminum, I wouldn't see any substantial changes in weight.

Question for you tech savy peeps, please.

I have a super old ipad and samsung galaxy tab that are "acting" up because they are outdated, and low memory. They're starting to struggle now because of the games and stuff that the Mrs put on for the kiddos, to keep them busy at times during this BS.

So... looking to possibly upgrade either both, or at least the ipad since that's the one that looks to be struggling the most.

Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for something I could buy for the kiddos, that will work? They are soon to be 6 and 4, so doesn't have to be anything crazy. As long as it has enough memory and ram to function properly.

I have no idea, I know Amazon has a kids version of their kindle. Not sure if there is a kiddie apple product out.

 

Amazon freetime kindle. Get the sponge case for it. My son is 8 and still likes it. Parent controls, etc

 

My kid is also organizing my used brass and cleaning out the basement utility room..haha sucks for him

 

Thanks for the input fellas! Gonna go check it out. The oldest kinda needs something because of his distance learning... something with a camera and that we can load the Google Classroom app on so he can take pics of his work to submit.

The youngest... well... she just "needs" one because she sees her brother "playing" with one, so you know how that goes.

Gotta get them started young!

 

Amazon runs on an android based platform I think, should be able to run google. Obviously check first tho!
