The funny part was that it was a second gen 4Runner! He hit it with a bunch of skinny pedal and took a funny bounce onto the side.

Down to three weeks before Moab/Sand Hollow and my list is pretty short...
-Mount my matching new spare tire and wheel
    -Final nut and bolt check
-Change the oil in the Ford

It looks like we'll benefit from people freaking out over Coronavirus and cheap fuel though!

Contemplating making a few changes on the Tacoma while I have some time on my hands....

I’m thinking about cutting out the down bars from the top of the cage to the top of the bed sides. Just cap the joint from the bedside bar and what’s left of the old down bar that goes to the frame. I know it’s not technically as strong but I’m not going 100 in the desert and don’t love the way it looks now. Then I’ll add a couple bars from the top of the rear shock hoop to the back of the cab cage to hold my spare up instead of resting it on the shock hoop and bed floor.

Huh? The long one that goes from the cab to the back of the bed?

I honestly considered it when I saw a bed an hour away for $300...then I remembered that I’d have to cut a giant hole in the floor for my shock hoop, rendering it useless as a bed and just adding weight

So I'm bound and determined to figure out why my ECU is pulling a bunch of timing around 2-3k RPM and making the motor feel like it has a flat spot. I can watch on an OBD2 scanner where it pulls to zero advance and if I pedal the throttle, the timing comes back up and I have power again. Starting with a new knock sensor from a GM application that is supposedly less sensitive since 3RZ knock sensors are known to be delicate. PN's SU1075 and 800 from Autozone.

Mine was doing similar when it first was running. Found out ECU wasn't seeing water temp and replaced that sensor and it fixed. That's the sensor on the side of the engine I think, the one on the back was for the temp guage on the cluster

It’s seeing water temp on the scanner...and I swapped front sensors once too. The temp gauge on the dash is a little wonky though. It moves up and down with throttle position. Not all the time, but occasionally. I may swap rear sensors though to be sure

Finished a cabinet for the trailer that makes a bunch more storage space and a bar top for when the middle door swings open and full party mode is engaged.

If it could talk, it would have so many TTORA stories to tell from the mid to late 2000’s...I was super bummed when I broke the back window with an OG Southeast TTORA sticker on it
