So this is before with 88 rotors shim and add a leaf on the stock fox setup on top. Next two are with the Kings 2.5 OEM with adjusters. If I had to do it all over again........ would I do it? IMG_4540.jpgIMG_4539.jpg IMG_4538.jpg

:taco: Well, depends on your objective I guess. Look good and don't mind sacrificing a PERFECT ride over any bumps, do it. Want the BEST ride you ever felt in your life in a truck, DON'T! Luckily, I'm in the city most of the time so it's show more than go for me right now. But if I wanted to go play like we do with my Raptor, this would've been a BIG mistake! Rides like a board on your ass even with the adjusters at softest settings. If I drop the fronts down to Fox height, the ride is not too bad but if you want to crank them up to get your look and lift you want, get ready to sacrifice your ride with preloading those springs!

I've been down this exact road. I had the stock OR shocks... swapped that out for the TRD Pro suspension... Then swapped all of that out for ADS with Deaver's... I agree, if you're expecting earth shattering improvements with ANY suspension system, I doubt you'll get it. The TRD Pro Fox suspension was pretty damn good and would have been perfect for my needs, if I didn't add weight (winch and bumper).

A lot of people don't realize that Kings and other such coilovers are not going to offer a 2" to 3" lift without sacrificing ride quality. They are set at their ideal spot from the factory (around 1.5").

Good luck and enjoy the inner fender eye candy.

My BP-51 suspension is night and day a smother more controllable ride on and off-road than the factory fox suspension with the added weight on the truck.
Every adjustment of the compression and rebound on these make a very “earth shattering” difference.

You guys got that right. It was a hard choice. My last Tacoma I didn't do the left and wished I did. My other trucks, I did do some tricks on the susp with the exception of the Colorado ZR2. That one I left alone and as much as I HATE to say this, that damn mulitmatic system is the best system I have ever owned. It blows away the Raptor and these Kings. The factory Fox that I removed were the only thing close, but getting it up in the front I had to sacrifice. I had 37.25" in front prior and now I'm at 39.5" up front with the Kings. Pretty big jump, but MAN was a crappy ride!

Comparing an overtaxed stock suspension to a purpose built for the weight suspension is a little apples and oranges.

I agree. The Fox Pro Suspension was good on the stock truck but I don’t think it ever rode like these BP-51s do.

It was a expensive test, but good to know on my next truck. I might do a different combo next time and stay with a smaller tire to keep the weight down and tame the life a bit. I run 80 - 85mph on the fwys out here everyday so every once makes a BIG difference with this truck. Now someone PLEASE come out with a reliable supercharger for this thing so I can install it. It blows my mind no-one has a supercharger that is really works yet.

I don’t think Covid-19 is as much of an issue as the space between us stopping you from taking a test drive. Lol

I feel my Kings are an infinitely better ride than my stock suspension ever was. Granted, I don't have them cranked way up, I turned them up a tiny bit but I'm only at ~1.75" of lift from them. You've taken your shocks out of their ideal operating range and complaining about the ride?

Ya, that's the problem man. If I keep them at the same hight as the Fox, they are not bad but still not as good at the Fox system. But the idea is looks and lift for me so I cranked them up to get the full 3" and I paid the price with stiffness. Rob Peter to Pay Paul man. Sucks I can't get the best of both worlds but yup, looks good sitting there........

As someone with a OR 4x4 is it worth it to buy a TRD PRO Fox Suspension? is the ON road comfort of the TRD PRO better than say a Head Strong Stage 1 Fox suspension?

(my truck is 95% a pavement princess, took it to Big Bend once stock) I assume besides ground clearance stock OR suspension is all ill really need for off road.
