    2018 sr5, 37,000 miles.

Had an oil change last week at the dealer, not sure if related. Driven A few times since then. Started noticing a belt squeal type noise today on the drive home. No squeal at idle rpm, at any speed, but hear it at 1500+ rpm at any speed including in park. Got home and popped the hood. Motor seems to be shaking a lot more than normal. Squeal present when revving engine in park and video is below.

Any ideas? Hard to believe a belt is f’ed at this mileage.

My 2017 with 27k miles has recently developed a squeak that sounds kinda similar and goes up with the RPM. It's very annoying and I'm yet to figure out what/why it's happening.

It only happens when I run the truck hard (high RPMS) then it seems to go away after a while if I'm not being hard on it.

Keep us updated if you figure out the cause.

Mine is making pretty much the same noise. Happens around 2000 RPM and up. I'm pretty sure it's one of the idler pulleys. Unfortunately for me the noise isn't consistent. It'll screech like a bitch one day, and then be silent for the next day or week.

I'm with you. I'd check the idler pullies first. Does not sound like the belt.

The question is, which pulley is it. There's only 4. lol

Try a mechanic's stethoscope if ya can get one. Try a long wooden dowel if not. Place 1 end on the center of pully and put the other end to your ear.

Be careful as the motor is running and you have to get in and around the fan and belt. It works like a charm..

When you get to the bad one, you will hear it immediately......

I've been seeing these belt squeal posts more and more. Subbed for possible solutions out of pure curiosity. Fathom belt squeals could be a pain to diagnose.

I just watched the video. This sounds like classic worn belt. Squeals like this could be from debris on the belt.

It's the bearing inside the pulley. Mine is doing the same at 38k Miles. There's 3 pulley and 1 tensioner pulley. Going to swap out the 3 first since 1 is wobbly and bad and the other 2 might go with them. Decided to go with a another brand besides oem since whoever makes it uses crap bearings and they aren't even the koyo brands
