I found this connector by the charger, and I am certain I did not disconnect it. When I traced it into the dash it ties into a harness with several connectors, I was able to tell it is on the same harness as the illumination for the wireless charger area. I noticed it right after removing the front portion of the console only needing to disconnect 1 socket for the charger. Alternatively I wasn't paying close attention while removing the headunit and I don’t know if there is supposed to be wires going to this empty socket. I am almost positive nothing goes here as it’s working great and there is no loose connector in this upper portion of the dash. Is there supposed to be something in this spot, maybe on some models only?

Do you have the wireless charging in the center console?

I said in my original post I do have the charger and noticed this after disconnecting one singular electrical plug for the charger on the front portion of the center console. This was in the same area but is not for the charger.

Sry, missed that. Looking at the wires, it looks like it might be to a switch, I think the green and brown are normally for switch illumination. But the plug just doesnt look like anything I have seen.

I would say to put a multimeter into the brown and green wire, see if they give you voltage when you turn on the lights. If it does, look for any lights that are out and see if its for that.

Toyota runs wires and connectors for all sorts of things that don't come with certain trim levels. For example, in my base model I have the wires for cruise control but do not have cruise control in my truck. I'd assume a similar thing here.

I am 1000% certain I did not disconnect these wires. I am thinking it is for a feature my truck did not come with but if it’s something good added easily why not know about it. The empty socket behind the radio is the one I am unsure about as there are a billion plugs on it. The console I removed one on the rear portion and one on the front: after removing the front console I saw this

Did your truck not come with XM or GPS or something like this? I wouldn't worry about it.

XM and gps are plugs up top into the headunit and those are plugged in. I have a 19 trd off road no premium package so maybe it’s for blind spot monitor turn off switch? I’m not worried about it just seeing if anyone knows. More concerned with the empty socket on the radio, everything works as far as I can tell and I really dug around for another plug. But any additional capabilities from the headunit would be cool if that is like a sub out or something.

It is in the same harness as the light for the charger. The shifter doesnt have a light on it. Its a MT. I didnt loose that one lol. I am fairly sure it would go to BSM or parking sensors after looking at everything. Any chance anyone knows if that empty socket on my headunit it supposed to be empty? Or just what its function is in general.

Totally could be blind spot monitor. It does run to the rear of truck and make noise at the back corners of the cab

I used to have an FJ. I got A-trac, a fairly expensive option for just the cost of the switch because the wires were hiding right behind the dash. This is clearly nothing like that after looking a little more into it.

OP, check the center console, you might have another loose/unused connector to the same system. It's black in color, small and attaches to a buzzer.
