You asked, I responded. Not all of us love paycheck to paycheck.

Apparently he does. That's more unfortunate than us having to work. Stay safe, brother.

Exactly. People can only view things through their lens. Myself included.

Haha, no I don’t live paycheck to paycheck. My wife is a CPA, and I’m a pipe welder. If I lived paycheck to paycheck, something would be wrong.

You too brother! Luckily I'm in crane so we'll far away from the masses. It’s a best case scenario.

I see a lot of people getting laid off and they are scared of losing what they have. Some people that are working are bitching about working like they want a free vacation, if you feel like it’s unsafe to work, then don’t work! It’s that simple.

I don't want a free vacation. I want less exposure to keep me and my family safe. I want us all to do our part and stay home to not spread this shit. Of people want a job Amazon warehouse is hiring.

Well it seems the smartest thing you could do is quit your job then.

My trips over the last 3 weeks. All of them:

    1) Takeout pizza + beer
    2) Pickup gear from office
    3) Takeout mexican
    4) Liquor run
    5) Grocery Store
    6) Takeout Thai
    7) Donut run
    8) takeout pizza + beer

Finally down to 3/4 tank after 3 weeks. I don't mind - could be much worse.

I want to go back to the office, my wife and kids are out of school and work, and here I am trying to work in the basement only to have a 5 year old coming down every 10 minutes to ask if Im off work yet :)

You could. There are places you can go where you won’t see anyone. Just be safe.
I’m in a similar boat. But there are plenty of places you can practice dispersed camping, so I’ve taken my kids out a few times since CA gave the “shelter in place” guidelines. Besides gassing up, I’m not any more exposed because I eat the same food from my cooler and bed down miles away from other dispersed campers. But that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. If I were single and physically able I’d throw two weeks of food and gear into my big pack and do part of the Pacific Crest Trail or The Lost Coast or...anything, really. The West has a lot of land for the adventurous, fortunately.

Conference calls have gotten so much more entertaining over the last few weeks with pets and kids and stuff.

Maybe this is what the world should really look like instead of a bunch of people in business casual in cubicles. Maybe we can work less and do with less and enjoy life more. I don’t know, it seems like a shame if we were to waste such a huge, deadly reset button.
