Had about a 2.5 hour idle at the dump today. On the way home, temps returned to normal.

My 97 Bimmer will easily hit 167°, while idling in any summer weather. Always runs about 50° hotter than ambient.

Curious to see what it will be like this summer with my truck? Driving it is typically within 5 degrees of ambient, but I cannot remember when idling for lengthy periods.
