Nah just tired of the trailer in the driveway. No more ghetto ness haha and means more room for junk and projects. I do want a truck camper and have been looking for one

Sweet wall build!! I wish I had room on either side of my house to park a trailer, or even get one into the backyard.

Hey at least you have a driveway to be ghetto in. I’m sure my apartment neighbors loved it when I had the Tacoma loaded on the trailer and dropped in my parking spot the night before a trip!

Truck camper would be nice for desert camping/wheeling for sure

I would rock a camping trailer. I hate tent camping.

I get that and I’m pretty okay with tent camping. Not sweating your ass off the second the sun comes over the horizon or having to pull boots on 430am to piss in the rain when you’re still drunk from the night before or having your own clean shower is totally worth something

I don’t mind the rtt. It’s warm and comfy but the no shower and 3 nights in the dust and dirt gets old. Plus I want to go see some places and do some trips and a camper would save some money long term. It’s proving to be harder to find an affordable one though.

I'm a degenerate while wheeling or away from civilization so no showers for me LOL!! The only way I could do a RTT is off the truck as I would totally destroy it, that leaves a pop up trailer as they are cheaper and lift it so it matches the height of the truck.... hmmmm

The dust out in the desert I honestly think is worse than the mud out here. Yeah sure you track some mud into your tent and if you fall in it, it sucks bad. But at least it doesn’t blow on its own into literally crevasse like the dust does

    You do have a V6 too... :D

Joe and I just had this exact conversation last week. I think he’s going to end up back with a full size truck to replace the 4Runner as a DD, get a slide in camper, and a trailer again.. The 80 on 40's/42's won't be happy pulling much trailer behind it, so the options are limited for campers.

It all comes full circle!! I've been eyeing up a 1st gen double cab tundra to build as a wheeler next because I need space and room for a cage inside. 4runner and taco are too small inside. Plus I could get a 14 bolt/60 combo for the same price as building a toyota based front axle :D

Thanks man. Sas is a big change and I’m glad I did it. Done a lot of cool things with this truck over the years. Best thing is I get to spend time with my dad since we normally go on trips together.

Haven’t posted anything in a while. Did a day trip to sand hollow yesterday since Easter Jeep safari trip got canceled. Ran the maze and plan b and some of the hard stuff on west rim. Learned I don’t fit through the “squeeze” with the wide axles. Good trip over all.

upgrade/maintenance wise I went to a 1 ton master for stronger brakes and some longer ones because apparently I have gained down travel.

yeah I got burnt out on making the gate so I went to the block and now I’m burnt out on the yard in general haha. Trucks running good and I just want to wheel it right now and don’t want to tamper with it and go down a rabbit hole or upgrades lol but it does need some maintenance.

    Thanks and yes

They more leaks from tiny holes in the tires not from the beadlocks. The passenger rear has several pin holes causing leaks I need to take the time to plug
