I have a URD short shifter kit and I love it. I just came across 2nd gen owners that have had the ball on their stock shifter breaking off where it attaches to the URD ball due to the added stress of the pivot point. I wanted to know if this has happened to any 3rd gen owners with this kit. I have had it installed for the last 8000 miles and it's been great so far. I'm thinking about taking it out and having it welded at the joint to keep it from failing in the future. I'm just paranoid and don't want it breaking when I'm out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks.

Bumping this - I’d love more info on the URD for 3rd gens. Any other good testimonials?
