Is anybody using a Powertank CO2? I've had a 20lb tank for about ten years for trips to the sand dunes. I would like to mount it in the back of my Tacoma. Lets see some pictures of how you guys have mounted your CO2 tanks.

I think I'll have to build somethin like what your building and add the mole siding to attach it.

I'm sure you've done something else by now, but I'm searching for a solution, and I've found this is now available from PowerTank. The "PowerPlate" goes between their brackets and any molle panel. Another user posted a link to as a minimal solution for the a molle panel that the PowerPlate could be bolted to.

Unfortunately, Rago only sells these molle panels as a pair. And with the extensions needed they are $125.! Anybody want to spilt a pair?

I hadn't solve the problem and I had not seen the Powertank mount. Thanks for posting this, I'll be buying a Powertank mount.

Ten Eight Rider can speak for himself, but he might have been referring to the Power Plate mount I mentioned since he said in an earlier post, "I think I'll have to build somethin like what your building and add the mole siding to attach it."

Yes, I was referring to the power plate mount. I after looking into it further, I'll have to purchase a smaller bottle as I have a 20lb bottle, which is great to have in the toy hauler. I'll probably buy the 10lb or 15lb for the bed of the truck.

I use the Power tank super bracket combined with their new PowerPlate Mount, to attach it to my Molle Panel, absolutely no rattles.

Great to hear that you don't have any rattles. Exactly what I am going to do. I've got the tank w/Super Bracket (package B) and the PowerPlate mount.

But I'm trying to find find a molle panel that won't trap dirt/leaves at the bottom. I like Cali Raised, but I park outside under pine and maple trees from the neighbors drive. They provide great shade, but I'd like to be able to clean out behind the molle. The Cali Raised extend all the way to the bed.

I did find these from Built Right Industries, shown at about 2:40. Note the gap at the bottom to let stuff "escape". Just not sure these would be rattle free.

    Any thoughts?

those built right panels look nice. there is a gap for leaves and such, but if you use a bed mat they are no use. I can get a pic without the mat if you'd like. the cali's are much more solid than I anticipated, I also considered victory4x4, and ragofabrication panels but ultimately decided on this one. if you end up getting the built right, I would love to see pics. I would prefer the built right molle cutouts, but I didn't even know they existed until you posted it lol.

I just kept googling for alternatives. Partly based on your confirmation that you might prefer the Built Right, I'm going to try them.

I'll post back to let you knowhhow it goes - - and to blame you if they stink! :D

Let me know, but it is hard to gauge the actual scale relative to the powerplate mounting distance. on the caliraised you only need to use 2 slots next to each other. if you don't want the wings to cover up the bedside fenders, then the victory4x4 might work even better for you. i may mount a pro-eagle to the plate eventually, but for now just my powertank and a bag to go on the panel to hold inflator and coiled hose. it will work perfectly as I plan on eventually getting a soft topper or a bedrack and you can just pull up the corners for easy access.

    Understood and appreciated.

I'm hopeful that both Built Right and PowerTank understand that molle is a standard, not just anything with holes. Yes you can exceed the std, but items stating "designed to fit molle" or "our molle panels" should work fine out of the box.

We'll see as I ordered a few hours ago. 2-5 days they say. Optimistic I'd say, but somebody here has to give them a shot.

Did you get the panel yet? I am going to order the Built Right large Tech Pouch for my 30ft hose & inflator.

It's supposed to arrive Saturday. They didn't have it on the shelf, but I explained I had a trip coming up and they volunteered to try to get it here before. UPS tracking says they are ahead of promised schedule. Seems like I might have found a nice shop. I'll post back if I get it early Saturday. UPS delivers here as late as 9pm.
