2016-2018 has all the older fully completed tunes still available. OVTune has been making Tacoma tunes for years now.

Ya, tune development thread. 1.05 wasn't a complete tune. 2.0 final will be the only one.

I can’t tell if your kidding or not.
It was a full tune, as well as a few others before.

1.05 WAS a complete tune. Mat even said 1.05 was supposed to be the FINAL tune before there was such mixed feedback on it. After all the feedback on 1.05 he decided to work his magic and basically rewrite the entire ECU from scratch to make something that hopefully everyone will like

I think about that time Mat unlocked ‘level 19’ in the ECU and gained control of a few more knobs.

Either way, 2.0 betas are better than 1.05 anyway.

It took Toyota 3+ years to develop a calibration that drives decently for most...And they have the source code.
The initial few mm of pedal travel on 19 beta is "stock" then ramps up.

2.0 releases with my code. Not Toyota's.

Here’s my experience with the new tip-in....
The pedal travel transition from stock is not a “ramp” up. It is a flat, straight up cliff.
The best way I can describe it is how a 80s 911 turbo acted when the turbo kicked in. You have no power and then The power kicks in hard. There is no ramp up. This happens an any speed and in any gear. It’s like a dead pedal, then the power all comes at once and the engine rpm’s race up.

I think the “soon” joke has run it’s course.
Let’s agree to stop making jokes at Matt’s expense. Right now is just not the time......
No offense to you man.

did you send it to support@ovtune.zendesk.com?
I don't see any reg emails waiting this long.

I'm just waiting for keys back from our dev. His area is now under strict lock down due to Covid so I'm not exactly sure when we will get them.

I did this about a month ago for the same reason. I just wanted the performance back. But after running 1.05.1 93P for that long and dealing with the shifting when it shouldn't, not-shifting when it should, and jerkiness of the "bumpy road feel" that was still there, this past weekend I reloaded 2.0 19800 91 Oct. So much smoother now. Yeah it doesn't have as much ooompf as the 93 and the bumpy road feel is still there (albeit slightly), but it's really soooo much better overall. I'm definitely in a holding pattern now patiently waiting for final. :)

I typically run 85 octane in the 19800 2.0 beta for my 2018 (don't judge, gas is crazy expensive where I live), but yesterday I decided to fill up with 91 since fuel prices are so low right now, and holy hell! HUGE difference!

The truck feels like it has way more power, shifts more smoothly, and mpgs over the course of my 105 mile drive went up to 20.3 when I usually only get around 17. And this is on a drive that is half interstate (75 mph) and half state hwy (65 mph) which starts at 5,000' goes up to 7,500' and ends at 6,300'.

I'm well aware that there are many variables that can affect mpgs as well as how the truck drives, but I've never been happier driving this truck! Excited to see what 2.0 final has in store!
