    Evening y'all,
Got this Coleman lamp fired up today, a model AA, dates to 1912-1922. I need to put all the parts on when I get the good fount, has some nickel parts. Waiting for a good fount as this has stress cracks which I sealed, but consensus is not to use one with stress cracks, but I wanted to see it going, a replacement was dropped off at the wrong Post Office, so hope to have it in a few days, many are no good. I need some shades for the 5 or 6 lamps I have.

I wish grocery stores would give up on the whole "in store purchase only" BS. Order online, pickup/loadup service at the store works well for us, and gives us the chance to get out a bit, gas up, pick up scripts, whatever. Never been dissapointed with quality of items they pick for us, or substitutions they might make. We've been using it since inception. Two stores have been remodled/reset since the last time we were inside, we wouldn't know the stores, so...

Good Morning all :hattip:. About the most getting out the missus and I are doing now is walking around the neighborhood. Everyone is really good with "social distancing" so I feel pretty safe. Friday afternoon some of our neighbors and us are going to have a driveway Happy Hour:drunk: (staying at least 6 feet apart) to help with some of the boredom of staying in. Give us all a chance to catch up on things. Have a great day and stay safe.

    Morning all!

Made a new batch of hand sanitizer. Light lime aroma. Decided setting up a blending plant would be too resource consuming. But it's got 2X boost and three types of skin protectant and is 75% isopropyl.

Wife made some sanitizer with aloe vera, isopropyl. Kinda nice, hands washed so much these days, have to watch chapping. I also carry a 2oz fingertip spray bottle of iso in my pocket, because I tend to forget chit.

Without giving my recipe away :D :

All dilute to get 75% Isopropyl alcohol:
    99% IPA
    Water
    Aloe Vera
    Glycerin

    And just tiny amounts:
    Lanolin
Lime essential oil (A couple drops can barely smell it, but didn't want to smell like a pirate)
    H2O2
    Vitamin D
    Vitamin E

End product as you rub hands, yes alcohol is really there, then it evaps off, some feel some water, then feel just a little lotion, then hands dry and not greasy but protected and NOT sticky.

Our local county paper ceased printing today(weekly) after over 100 years of continuous printing, left the door open to start again when this is over. They put out a paper for each of six small communities.
Good news, after only eight days, my Fed refund is showing in my bank account. Next week maybe for the Stimulus check?

Darnn, trout season delayed. In a way, nice to keep everyone away and have food left in the grocery store. Bad in a way, just moved here and first time I wouldn't have to drive 350 miles to drown a worm.

I was listening to the radio, but up here, they wanted fish season to start normally for something to do, but had heard areas like yours were more afraid of people bringing the virus with.

Here is a link to a short little video someone near and dear to me/us did in her off time from film school. Some may complain it is a request to go to the "beach". but keep in mind the "source" of the request. I hope it brightens your day.
    Enjoy!

Yeah, the Mammoth Village hospital is full, Northern Inyo Hospital is ok for now - only 11 cases at home. Alpine County is starting to have cases and they are small.

Good morning, everyone! Lynn and I made our trek yesterday - I picked up my prescription and then joined Lynn in the grocery store and took over shopping for her mom while she did ours. The store was pretty well stocked - still very little toilet paper but there was some. No hand sanitizer, of course. Not a lot of orange juice or eggs. Otherwise, you had normal choices of most everything.

We wore gloves and masks - still a bunch of people out without either. I swapped gloves between the drug store and the grocery store, wiped down the cart, etc. When we got home we wiped all the packages and containers down with a bleach/water mix and then put them in a clean spot until we finished cleaning everything - then put them away. From out the door to everything away - 2 hours. Overkill? Perhaps. But, rather safe than sorry. With caring for Lynn's 93 year old mother, we don't want to expose her to anything.

PA opened fishing season early this year - made a sudden announcement on Monday. Seemed strange when we are being told to stay home and not go anywhere unless absolutely necessary....except fishing. Fishing is OK.

Enjoy your day, the weekend and Happy Easter!!

Happy Friday folks. The only going out I have been doing is walking around the neighborhood. Don't want to put anymore weight on by just sitting around and snacking. Got caught in the rain while walking yesterday and it brought back memories of when I was a kid and got caught in the rain and jumping into puddles (didn't jump in any puddles yesterday). It was almost refreshing . Have a great day and stay safe.
