Nippon Gakki is the Japanese plant. If it's an "A" model, it's from around "84" and actually kinda rare from what I'm seeing. You got a shot of the rest of the front of the guitar?
Also...what did you pay for it. Maybe the for that did you a favor selling the other one before you got to his place.

It is not an "A" model. That's about the extent I found as well that the "A" models seem to be rare. Can't find anything on the standard model. I will snap a pic and post right now for you.

    I paid 240 after tax

Yea. The one I'm looking at on reverb is definitely an "A" model. Not the same but I'm sure it's still a quality acoustic.

Any of you guys hear about 10 year old, Taj Farrant? I really dig his natural talent to feel what he plays. Only been playing for a couple years and already sponsored by Gibson and others.

Nah man, if it sounds good and you think you need an improved model later...make it your beach/campfire stick. Everyone needs a nice beach guitar.

There are a few really good free YouTube teachers you can check out, that helped me. There’s Marty Music (Marty Schwartz), and Justinguitar (Justin Sandercoe)
Both are excellent. I found Marty is my favorite, his camera angle is closer, so it’s easier to see what his fingers are doing. I could care less what cool hat he has on today (sorry, Justin)
Justin’s program is really an organized curriculum, so if you’ve never held a guitar, he’s a good place to start.
It’s a fun and rewarding journey, you’ll find your way to learn, in the end.
    Congrats on the Yammy!

I've been looking for this Melaga Purple, 81 Strat Head Pacer for a looooong time. It's the ying to my yang Kramer Voyager. Same color, same year.

Sadly, at $1600, it's way outta my reach. Beautiful and rare. The only Pacer I've seen rarer than this one was a same color, strat head with a factory Rockinger trem. There's some pics of Eddie with a strat head similar with a Rockinger in"81/82 after he taped it up.

    Legit in the Kramer registry.

It's rumored that Dweezle Zappa owns it now.
Here's Eddie and AH back in 82 with the Purple strat head.

And of course, my 81 Melaga Purple strat head Voyager. Pulled it out from the closet and gonna condition the fret board this weekend.

These Fender lessons have been pretty good so far. Been trying to practice 30mins - hour each day. Fingers are definitely sore but can tel they’re getting clauses built up. Working on smooth transitions from G to C right now

After multiple format/OS installs, I managed to get my Eleven Rack editor software working by using a old copy of win 7 ultimate. Quite frankly, that was my fav OS anyway.

So now I can adjust all my pedals, amps, cabs, mics, etc from the software on the computer that's linked directly to my Eleven Rack.

No more having to lean over with a guitar in my lap and try and adjust stuff on the unit. Hooray!!

Unfortunately, the $100 expansion pack that I purchased was registered to my win 10. So now I have to get a hold of them to reset my serial#.

Coming together a little bit at a time. :)

Choices choices.... been doing some online searching, not really sure if I want to pull the trigger. Minister of Finance been giving me the face. Had a couple of roommates years ago who played, one had a strat other an Ibanez. Remember liking the Ibanez, felt better on the neck and crunchier.
