@Travish325 have you been following the Eddie-Thor shit? I like Eddie but god damn he is being a toddler about this.

 

Yeah. I don't like him, never really have. I'm also not a die-hard fan of Hafthor but I think he's gonna hit 501kg pretty easy and Eddie will whine even more. Eddie has always been a whiney little bitch. Plus he is best friends with the guy who runs Giants Live AND makes the event list for WSM... A whole bunch of shit happened at the 2017 WSM that helped Eddie win and I think he knows that it was a sham, that's why he defends it so hard. His friend (Colin Bryce) changed events last minute to ones that were better for Eddie. And Hafthor got called for a double dip on viking press which in my opinion was a BS call. If he had gotten the rep he would have won.

Eddie is strong as fuck no doubt, but he is a little bitch and has no sportsmanship. He is all about himself and has let his fame in the UK get to his head. He's gonna regret his actions here soon.

 

I have to agree with the general consensus in this thread. This whole lack of gym thing has been a huge issue. I don't have any weights at home and jailhouse work outs only work so well. I need my gym back so I can lift big weight again!

Lol as i was about to type back to you, they called me back and despite everyone I interviewed with saying I was not a good fit, one manager disagreed and wants to hire me. I can't make this shit up either, seriously.

Curious what he saw, not sure it's even a good opportunity anymore due to how they treated me. I guess when I interview one on one I will get my time to ask.

 

I guess one problem would be how often would you be dealing with the others who did not feel you were a good fit................It may be a pain in the ass, you take the job then have to work for one of those assholes who is now stuck with someone they did not really want.

 

Several perspectives to consider, maybe some of the others viewed you as a threat, Ive seen that play out. I don’t think one single candidate will have every skill a company is looking for, being teachable would take care of that. it’s definitely worth the second interview just to see what’s up.

 

He’s definitely showing his immature side and is scared of losing his fame that came with the 500kg pull. It’s just wild to see grown ass men doing what they’re doing. Making each other look childish.

Not sure how I feel about that when its a job that I have to move for. But I guess I’d not turn down an opportunity.

 

Correct, I interviewed with about 8 people. Apparently the one guy really liked me. This was for about 12 different positions within the company. It's weird... difficult to explain...

Company put alot of projects in the ground, need managers to operate those sites. They put out a generic position for all of these locations and I didn't qualify for any of them, but the one manager had something else for me in mind... Guess we'll find out...

If anything, it's more interview experience for myself. A good time to ask questions on what I can do to improve. Maybe this guy see's the growth in me, I dunno. In 10 years I've been promoted twice and someday will be an executive. That's my long term goal... I am determined to get there, but I need proper development.

 

Hmmm growth and proper development you say? Have you tried roids?

Hey you never know what happens. The interview for the position I’m in was supposed to be practice lol

Its an odd dynamic there though if one person says X the other says Y and there’s a disconnect.

Hopefully this other position “in mind” is good.

 

Come some time next week we will find out! I hope other people start getting back to me... Some good opportunities out there, but it's damn slow due to the COVID. Ugh

I also hate to pass over an opportunity, when I am unsure if anyone else will scoop me up.

 

In all seriousness, do you think it is because of the way you look? My industry is full of not fit folks and I know being bigger with tattoos and a beard has caused some folks to assume things that just aren’t true about me...
