I was looking at those. Seems like a nice option. But at $750 I'd want to wait for a discount probably. Used might be my best bet.

Maybe some red tape making it tough to close the trails but easier to close the parking lot?

I’m gonna send you a couple pics I need you to show your ‘smuggler’ expert. Don’t think I have his number.

I originally wanted bling hubs. But black is subtle sexy.

I think Black was the way to go, since you dont know your frame color yet.

I want to pick up a set of Rocky Mounts and mount a bulk head slide flat on the top of my tonneu cover near the front bulk head area, so the bike can sit up on top of my tonneu cover. my only concern with this is can the bike pivot forward if the rear tire is not secured somehow in a hard breaking situation causing the forks or handle bars to slam into the back of my cab? or, does the rocky mount not allow the bike to pivot forward in such a fashion?. also, if the bulk head rail was mounted flat instead of on a side as yours is, can the rocky mount still work? thank you for this info if you have any answers.

It's not going to flip forward, but I would secure the rear tire if you are putting it on top of a cover, to keep it from going side to side.

    ...stuff
black is subtle sexy. Plus, I’m a fan of building your own bike, black goes with any frame color and parts colors you choose. New stem/grips/seat/etc... can be had in new colors for fairly cheap, the wheels would be killer to replace if they don’t look good with the rest of the colors

doesn't the fork mount unit by rocky mount secure it from going side to side? or is there play in the unit? it will be mounted to a very secure rail which will be mounted to a metal portion on top of the bulkhead.

My Tallboy V3 with the 110mm x 15mm axle has some play using the DriveShaft Track. It's not play between the axle and mount, but the fork has movement on the cam side and there is slight play on the opposite end where the axle threads into the fork.

What Bannerman is saying is that when you take a turn or hit a bump the ass end of your bike is going to slide around if you don't have it secured to something.

I've contemplated doing something similar. I came across, maybe in this thread, where someone mounted d-rings on the tonneau to secure the rear tire when using mounts in front. I would make sure to brace underneath the tonneau wherever you place the bike mounts depending on how thick your cover is.

basically i have a bakflip mx4, My plan is to mount the oem bulk head rail system https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DWVN9CK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1DSDMVWYQSOIF&psc=1 to the top front of the cover through the metal portion of the cover flat on the top. this would be very sturdy. I may use some mini D ring tie down mounts and mount to the inside edge of the tail gate to the upper 10mm bolt i'll attach a photo in a minute. then use some sort of mini soft loop coming up through the small crack with a bunjee through the rear tire to secure the rear end.

Oem Rail mounted here between the clips
