Busy day today on top of work:

wire wheeled all the rust off the rear bumper

While keeping busy during quarantine I planned on finally getting some new fender flares. I ordered the cheapest set I could find on eBay and was pleasantly surprised with their quality.

    Today I started on them!

    Cut the flare a bit

    used my handy tool

My little harbor freight angle grinder I picked up for this job made quick work of the fenders

I could have trimmed more but I’m only going to 295s so it’s good enough for now.

so I followed @tetten ’s post on what hardware he used and it was a great help, so thank you!!

I’m pretty stoked on how it’s turning out

Rain was coming in so the rears will wait until tomorrow.

    Overall successful day!

    Got the rears on today!

it was fun finding out the differences between long bed fenders and short bed fenders. I’ll do a write up eventually, but the short version is it doesn’t matter if you’re gonna cut them up anyways.

Overall super stoked with how these turned out! Not bad for cheap eBay fender flares!

Well ordered 2 more CVs from CVJ :) https://www.cvjreman.com/product/9808tr/

Since my outer boots failed very quickly, I got the OEM style this time around. Also ordered axle seals as well.

Then it's ECGS bushing, new CVs, new axle Seals, and the front end will be done.

Maybe next month i'll order the serp belt and pulleys and FINALLY do that as well.

I also need to order new rear shocks for some @Arcticelf fun, and I want to upgrade my speakers / sound deaden as well.

C'mon stimulus money / my tax return (which hasn't arrived yet!)

Got the trim that @tetten posted about!

These two things made the install much easier. The roller on the metal fender, and the foaming soap for the plastic fender flare!
