Suggest LED turn signal bulbs that don't hyperflash

I need to read up on resistors...but...is that a 50 Watt resistor? Meaning, you are using/bleeding off 50W of heat to make the couple watt LEDs work?

in another post @mesojdm suggested trying the led's without resistors first to see if it hyper flashes some people's trucks dont hyper flash at all

 

It will hyperflash still with too little resistance. Trick is to balance in the working threshold. Soooo wish Turd Gen flasher relay was external. Damn you Toyota.

 

A 50 watt resistor means it can safely dissipate 50 watts of heat. The resistors are generally 6 ohm resistors, which in a 12-14v system will have about 2-2.5 amps of current. That means actual power consumption is about 24-35 watts. And yes, this is to trick the system into thinking that the 20-30 watt incandescent bulb is still there.

Correction: too little current. Higher resistance means less current, while less resistance means more current.

 

I used these ones in my 2018 TRD OR. I had previously done the Meso stage 1 rear tail light bulb and turn/reverse mod/upgrade. I wanted to do the front turn signals in LEDs without having to splice in load reducers. I was skeptical about buying these because the price point was so low but they had good reviews, even had some from a few people who had put them in 3rd gen tacos. I was also worried that since I had already changed the rears to LED that the fronts might not work without hyper flash. But I bought them, plugged them in, and they worked great. I’ve been using them for about a month and a half now with no issues. Only thing I did was heat shrink the connections to weather proof them. They are very bright however.

I've used these for about two years and haven't had an issue with hyper flash or anything else for that matter.
