    Stew,

I was hoping you would take a deeper dive into the handle chrome delete project, especially with your advancing injection molding skills: mold the entire lever and offer it for $10 - $15 each. This still represents a 50 - 60% savings over the Thailand SR replacement approach.

Granted, not a 5 minute plug and play mod, but I don't think the majority of your (TW) buyers would be phased by the disassembly process to install the black lever in the handle assembly. That may not be the case with your Amazon or other markets.

Anyway, I know your standards are quite high and you wouldn't design an item that you would not put on your own vehicle, so I look forward to what you come up with.

As much as I would like to offer a complete drop in, there are many factors in which I opted for a snap on.
Mold cost X 3. Now I’m having to tool up the lock body, as well as the base which holds the lever. Not to mention sourcing the metal spring, etc. While the increase in cost wasn’t a deal breaker, it would put the retail price close to what you can already purchase the ones from a Hilix for. (granted I would have better QC over them vs a generic mass produced one)
But the biggest deciding factor was install. I have to look at the majority of my customers and think in their shoes. While most/all of us on here are pretty mechanically inclined, believe it or not I’ve got people messaging me on how to install a GASSHOLE.o_O The lower price point + ease of installation(which will cover 99.9% chrome on the door handle!) are why I chose this style.
    However...
I have already tossed the idea of making a whole new unit with a completely different shape handle(think of my chrome delete kit style;)) for people that wanted the next step up. No promise yet.. we will see how the first batch of snap on door handles go.

    :thumbsup:Keep tossing!

Just to clarify, my suggestion was to fabricate the lever only (the thing touched when exiting the vehicle) and re-use the OEM base, spring, etc.

haha. Unfortunately I wasn't keeping tabs on my box and label supply, and ran out of the large ones that fit the Vent rings. On top of that most shipping companies are delayed so I had to make do:anonymous:

These times are certainly different. No worries, enjoyed the MacGuyver aspect and as always thoroughly pleased with all my MESO Customs purchases!
