Short version: As title says, how to accomplish a performance upgrade that gets me 1.5" or less of lift in rear, without relying on AAL or blocks. Research points me towards doing something like Dakar EL095R with either 3rd or overload spring removed? Looking for feedback from other folks who might have this setup and how this configuration has been, what kind of lift did it settle too, etc. More details of my application below.

    ____

I drive a 2011 offroad DCSB. This is my daily city driver, leer shell full-time (for now) with usually less than 50lbs additional load in the bed. Also light\moderate off-roading with camping gear very regularly throughout the year. Honestly, the truck can already take me on 'most' of the 4x4 roads and sketchy places that I usually care to go to, but the goal is to do so with more confidence, performance, and maybe comfort.

So really i'm only going for a modest setup, I will be running 265/75/16s, and don't plan to go bigger. Front seems straight forward, 5100s with OME 883 or 884s should be fine. To match with a balanced setup in the rear is where i'm looking for feedback and some other's experience.

My rear stock springs have seen better days, which is also why im not interested in just AAL or blocks, but a new leaf pack all together, to go along with probably 5100's too. These threads have been helpful https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-ome-dakar-leaf-pack-review.489540/#post-15059802, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ome-el095r-medium-lift-heights.564672/page-2, but back to the beginning, if anyone out there has a set up like this or can point out any other options or things i'm not aware of, or how effective it is to remove leafs, please and thank you!

Deaver J66 might be worth looking into. They are advertised as a 1 - 1.5" lift and will give a very comfortable ride since they are extremely soft. However, they will sag fast if you haul more weight or tow with them. Definitely do your research on them because they seem to have a love/hate following. Another option would be to have Alcan or Deaver make a custom spring pack to your specs.

Have you considered something like the Deaver U402 stage 1 0-300lb. If they ride to high just add some dead weight (sand bags perhaps). Then you can take them out when loading camping gear. Another option is just doing air bags.
