Not Tacoma install but a scion xb, so its close. Installing two amps with fuse ratings of a combined 150 amps. Was oping to purchase a standard 4 gauge to 8 gauge dual amp kit, but not sure if I need larger gauge set up. The bigger 1/0 setups come with a 300 amp fuse! That seems excessive to me. Any help is appreciated.

150A is a good bit more than I would run on 4awg. I would get the 1/0awg and just buy a 150A fuse. They’re available everywhere that sells the wire kits. Just make sure to get the right fuse to fit your fuse holder.

Yeah that would work great. Then grab a 150A ANL fuse and you’re set

From experience, always go larger on the wire size just in case you opt for a larger amp in the future, and keep in mind that as connections degrade with age that wire that is adequate now may be marginal in the future.

Last install I did 4 gauge for a four channel and a mono sub amp. This time, 1/0 is going in for the extra headway.

I used 4g in to a junction and 8g out on my rig with a 50amp fuse. I'm running 600x1 and 100x2, haven't had any issues in about 8 years so far.

Yeah I bought 2 fuses. These are ANL style. The ones I had were AGU.
I was hoping to use that myself but I am going to be running a bit more power. Install kit cost more than one of the amps!
