so a few weeks ago i moved my twin compressor over to my Lexus GX470. since i have a front locker needed something to actuate the air locker. was looking at getting the ARB mini compressor just for lockers but they wanted $207 for it and i think thats redonkulous. G2 Axle and gear has a mini locker and i was able to buy it new for $125 shipped. I entended to install it under the hood but really dont have a spot for it. opted to install it under the rear seat in the access cab. fits perfect. only problem is with my sub install i have to remove that just to get to the compressor. since its just for the air locker it shouldnt be a big deal.

here are two pics of the twin in the lexus

since getting the camper shell, figured it would get a good idea to get some bed stiffeners.

So got some things going on. The LEDs were suppose to be here today but the mail has already ran and USPS is still showing in transit.

So finished up the led swap. wasnt to bad. had to change out 10 LEDs. got the first 5 done with no issues. then did the three around the speedo and ended up doing one of them about 3-4 times. I bought 20 LEDs so i had extra. the last 2 were a breeze. I changed out the Speedo, Tach, Fuel and Coolant back ground and also the Tripometer to a cool white.

Trying my hand at fiberglass. Trying to make the hole for the shifter square and not the shape in the first pic.

Got the holes cut out. Finished sanding. Only thing left to do is actually paint it. Which I will do tomorrow. Turned out better than I thought it would. Probably could use more sanding but just gonna paint and send it. Also the shifter clear just fine.

I know the edges aren’t the best, but it’s what I could do with out any good way to make it smooth. At least nothing I had at the house.

There are few things I would have done different if I had to do over again. Would have made the half cup holder smaller to have a bigger spot going between the hole for the shifter and half cup holder.
Also would have built up underneath close the main big cup holder and not have that hole in the upper right of it. Didn’t plan the transition to the shifter hole very well. If that part was $100+ I’d get another and redo it better.

Do (did) you retain the inside fender liners when you trimmed to fit your tires?
Approx how much distance is there (at rest) from the tire to the body of the fender? (Mostly curious at the front tire, both front and back - but also curious about the distances at the back tires too)

    Thanks!

No fender liners. Not sure with body to tires. I can go measure in a little while

    Here is the drivers side
    529C315A-085C-4FB7-9BA5-912FCD768808.jpg

    Here is the passenger side
    FF32F9FD-E4A5-403F-9791-0CA507BC62DF.jpg

Obviously my passenger sits a little higher than the driver side. Don’t really care. Doesn’t look like it sitting there. Also, the wheel wells are cut evenly on each side.
