Do you have any recommendations for a budget one that's not a POS?

I did. Had to run a harness and all, as well. My 2014 didn't come pre-wired.

I ran them anytime on, though. Did not use any original OEM fuse block or anything at first, just the supplied inline relay and fuse holder. When I added the aux fuse block/breaker, I ran them to it. I got a factory switch and factory switch connector and it works at it should (i.e. illuminates when the lights are on, off when lights are off)
A free/cheap one from Harbor Freight will get you by. But I can't complain about my Milwaukee I've had for 10+ years.

I will try to get around to a HF here soon. Nearest one is in collierville, and I just don't get out that way hardly ever anymore.

    Details on my setup:
I'm using the square natika 720p camera with the black and red power unused, and the trigger from the red D/C connector soldered to the red trigger from the yellow video wire at the camera end. White wire has been cut, and ends have been separated as to not cause a short. On the other end, I used the supplied connector to connect the red trigger from the yellow video wire to the 12+ out from the CS harness. The red wire seemed super small for the connector, so I doubled it on itself, twisted it shut, shoved it in, and then crimped the connector. After a tug, it didn't give any slack, so I assume it's a solid connection. My truck is an SR, so only the two larger connectors of the CS harness were used. I don't have a connection for the small connector.

Does anyone have any insight wherein lies the issue? I'm assuming it's a controller problem due to no camera functionality, front or rear, but that's just my best guess.

Any help on any of these issues would be much appreciated.[/QUOTE]

Is your truck wired for a rear camera? Already come with one?
Most straight forward way to see if pre-wired, there will be wire loom running from the bed into the tailgate.

Y'all just need to get off Amazon and TW for these hack wiring jobs and use Crutchfield. Made my life so much easier when I upgraded over the plain stock HU, retained all my factory functionality.

Agreed when I installed my maestro unit I’d had much rather had crutchfield do the wiring vs me again. Way way worth the 10.00

100% worth any extra expenses, and you get to talk on the phone to a real person! Ran into some issues on mine, tech wouldn't let me off the phone for 3 hours til he made it right.

YES, it is the RFCC TTG2 controller purchased through TACO GARAGE. I read through the CS anytime thread and found several posts by owners of SRs that have successfully completed it. I'm going to try reaching out to them about it as well.

I already have a rear backup camera; it's factory.

If all harnesses from the controller are connected to your vehicle harness, you should have a blue light on the controller, just above where the harnesses connect into it, when ACC power is applied. If there is no blue light, that means the controller is not powered. Without the controller powered, you will have no backup camera.

If the small harness is not connected (no place to connect it to your vehicle harness), that is the power harness. Clip the wiring (red & black) where it enters the harness. Jumper that to ACC power and ground. The blue light on the controller will come on and the mod will work as designed.

I think I'm gonna pass this time, thanks though.

Any idea what the difference is between the 4Runner arms and Tacoma arms are?

85W-140 Non-Synthetic Lucas is what they recommend.

Two weeks ago so about the same time. And they haven’t said mine are going to be here next week. I’m just going off what they said when I paid for them and asked about what time I could expect the new ones.

Last week, I called to make sure they got my returned parts, guesstimated 2-3 weeks at that time. I also just ordered the Lucas 85-140 to prepare. 10qts for $85 on Amazon since NO ONE has enough in stock without paying tax at 8 individual stores to get 1 or 2 bottles.
Individual qts comes out to be cheaper than gallons, FYI.

Edit: I'm also going to put new in the front diff, that's why so many.

Yeah I saw that deal on Amazon and was wondering if that’s what most were doing since I’m doing front and rear. But didn’t know if they want 85/140 for the initial break in or actual break in oil

Does anyone know of a good shop to do a regear and install airlockers in TN? I haven't been able to find anything.
