2021 Great North Woods - Fall Date TBD

I just looked at NMW site.. closed until further notice due to soggy road conditions, & governors orders that no campgrounds are to be opened. not looking good.. already thinking I need to cancel my vacation for may 17th-27th... save the vacation time for next year... luckily my vacation time rolls over.

 

Maine has released new guidelines, and are trying to resurrect some portion of tourist season. However they are still calling for a 14 day quarantine, or a COVID19 test withing 72 hours of arriving in the state.

That means the date is still TBD based on the state loosening the restrictions further.

 

Went up 3 weeks ago, it was great, nmw still only open to maine residents last I knew.

 

Theoretically if we were going up to my inlaws place just about every weekend in Southern Maine, there are no issues there, but it's basically northern MA and all the businesses would be happy to have people spending money.

 

Are you aware of any rectal Corona tests? I'd prefer that method....for accuracy obviously.

 

Let's not discuss how we're flaunting public health guidelines in a public forum?

Going up for the fourth and will be staying with family but will be trying to sleep in the truck with the dog as a test run to see how it goes. At least this way if it goes haywire there's an option to go inside. Also, a bathroom. So it's a test run at least!

 

Apparently just Vermont and NH according to the dishonorable high priestess, Mrs. Mills. And only for people staying in commercial lodging.

I'm just pointing out that NY is a biiig draw for tourism, as well as Massachusetts actually. I have family going up that says it's basically a ton of out of state plates and nobody is worrying about any of the distancing or being shut down etc. Just the legal requirements of hotels/restaurants doing what they need to do.

 

I'll be in NMW this weekend if any one wants to get out for a day or 2.
