Thanks or the video. What is the recommended grease for the UCA bushings?

I could use schaeffer 221 on both the UCA bushing and the Delta Joint? I thought the polyurethane bushings required silicone based synthetic grease? Could I use the schaeffer 274 for both?

Shouldn't use Schaeffer 221 because it contains molybdenum disulfide, which likes to absorb water and turn into sulfuric acid. Just use a non-moly NLGI #2 grease.

I have never heard of MoS2 absorbing water and turning into Sulfuric acid. Can you give me your sources?

I'm not trying to argue or discredit in any way, I'm trying to get educated.
I read the summary of the "Chapter 15 Corrosion and fretting" but was unable to read the entire chapter. If I understand it correctly, the corrosion sited is caused from "dry film" MoS2. I have also read of suspected corrosion from dry film MoS2 in gun barrels. Doesn't dispersing the MoS2 in oil (and therefore grease) prevent the compound from causing corrosion?
Edit: In no way am I advocating the use of MoS2 greases on UCA bushings.

I'm no chemist, just going by what I read in the tribology books. Remember grease degrades. From what I see at work (aviation i.e. cutthroat maintenance cost control) parts lubricated with MoS2-fortified grease do exhibit more corrosion than with the same grease without MoS2.

What grease would you suggest for the ICON UCAs and DJ?

Use whatever major-brand NLGI #2 grease that happens to be available at your local store. Mobil Unirex EP 2, Lucas X-tra, Shell GADUS S5 V100 2... If your front driveshaft U-joints still have zerks, you can use the same grease there.

Would Lucas Red N Tacky #2 be OK to use in the Icon Delta Joint? Already using this grease on things like bushings. Looking at the label it says "NLGI", so maybe that's not so good.

    Lucas X-tra says NLGI #2.

If it has to be NLGI #2, maybe it's time to buy a second grease gun to have both types ready to go.

I have two grease guns. One with superlube for the bushings and one with the moly grease for the DJs.

I just finished installing my delta joint UCAs. Do they need to be greased or are they ready to roll?

For the upper zerk fittings, after lowering the vehicle, what are the torque specs on the bolts that needed to be loosened prior to greasing?

Also, is it the same kind of grease as the DJ in the first video?

    Thanks!
