I need some advice on where to go. Here is my sob story. I live in Breck and dealing with this new normal that we are all learning to live with. However my wife works at the high school and we have had two student deaths back to back. I back country ski and there have been two avalanche deaths recently that have hit close to home as well. Lastly my dog is also getting put down on Friday the 1st due to old age and she has stopped eating. So with all that being said me and the wife are heading out for a mini camping trip just to cope with all that's going on. I don't like blasting the internet with secret spots and i usually have my go to spots in Utah but I want to stay in CO. If anybody has any info for desert camping around GJ or Gateway could you PM me any info id appreciate it. I don't want to go to rabbit valley where everybody else goes. i want to get away and not be bugged. Typically i don't ask this stuff and just look at maps and talk with people i know, but with all i said above i just don't have the time or the bandwidth to find somewhere to go and I am asking for help. Please know whether you share or not this info will be kept with me and not blasted on the internet and i will leave it better than i found it. I just cant go camp where there are tons of people. Thanks TW family.

Not sure if your second post is sarcasm or if you got PM's. I have only been to CO once so I can't help you. I'm sorry to hear about your hardships. Maybe try chopping that block of text into paragraphs so more people will read it. Good luck man.

Could also try posting in the Colorado BS thread
