    Don't think it would be too big of an inconvience to have the furnace guy pull the old one and then come back a week or two later to install the new one.

    Cops in Encinitas, California issued $1,000 citations to 22 people just for sitting in their cars watching the sunset...

    It's not so much the fact they they're issuing citations that pisses me off, but the cost of said citations...

    I understand that the whole point of someone getting a ticket (whether for something driving-related or not) is to deter them from doing it again, but the cost of tickets borders on extortion! On top of an exorbitant fine, tickets for moving violations almost always carry those dreaded points on your license, which jack up your insurance rates. The first speeding ticket I ever got was for 43 in a 25, my first offense ever, and it was $180; It's like they think I'm Bill Gates or something! On top of that, it would have carried four points if I'd just gone ahead and paid it instead of contact my lawyer friend and fighting it...

    Some countries actually base the cost of a ticket on the offender's annual income, which sucks if you're wealthy but would probably hurt a lot less financially if you're more entry-level like me.

    Obviously, these citations in California for violating the stay-at-home order are understandable, but a thousand bucks? Seriously? Some people don't even make that in a month after taxes! I think there's a way of deterring people from going out without potentially destroying them financially!

    I didn't want to say this in the guy's BST thread, but I'm a "buy the vehicle for as low as possible with no consideration whatsoever whether or not the seller makes a profit" type of guy...

    Agreed. I heard something the other day about certain things opening back up, they mentioned restaraunts but mask wearing would be required. How in the heck are they figuring on people eating or drinking while wearing a mask...

    @JaCado

    I got this trait from my dad...

    Almost 25 years ago, my dad wanted to buy a new 1996 Toyota 4Runner, but no dealer within fifty miles of us would budge from sticker price; He walked away, bought a new Pathfinder instead, and held onto that for 13 years! When he traded the Pathfinder for my Tacoma, the sticker price was close to $18K if I remember correctly; After trade and negotiations, he paid less than $15K for my truck!

    I see people driving with masks on; Unless you're driving an ambulance, I think this is overkill...

    I won a trade war once! I rolled my 4Runner, got a cheapo fender, plastic welded the back side of fender flares, bumper covers, etc, alot of Bondo and sheet metal screws, couple hundred dollars in paint and some tweaking with come alongs so it looked strait and traded that puppy in on a brand new jeep!

    I call that a win in a trade war, lol!
