Whoops, it's late for me. You need plate spring compressors. Would likely be cheaper to buy the tool than have someone do the work. You'll also hate 700lb springs. What about a 14" 650? That's still a lot of spring.

I don't understand why y'all hate 700# springs so much. I have them don't regret it!

Hope everyone is alright, the tornado that just passed through Nashville did some pretty substantial damage.

Most of us are good. Haven't heard from anyone with damage yet. Power is out at my house for the foreseeable future, and devastation all around. Somehow or our neighborhood was spared.

I was just looking at google maps and noticed particular road closures right in the path of where you house was. Glad y'all are okay!

Checking in here safe. Hit 10mins from my office. Home is out west in Kingston Springs, and just had crazy rain/lightning & wind, but no damage out there thankfully.

Headed to East Nash with a chainsaw after work to clean up trees at a friends place. Also like @ThunderOne mentioned HON, I got a work group registered in for the next few weekends to aid.

Over 5,000 volunteers have signed up already. If we all pick up one piece of wood, the whole city will be cleaned up in 20 minutes.

Are there any planned mod days in the future? I just bought some fox stuff and could use a hand installing.

We're all practicing social distancing. I can gladly point at things and tell you how you're doing it wrong from a minimum of 6ft away.

We are moving to Arizona this weekend and as I was cleaning the garage I found that I still have my tail lights, fog lights, leaf springs, and full suspension with UCAs off my 2017 TRD OR. All that stuff was pulled off at about 28000 miles. Anyone need any of those items, shoot me a fair offer and you can come to pick it up.

Offering a $50 finders fee to anyone who can meet up with me and properly identify what’s wrong with my truck.

I got chased out of the TN thread last year for talking too much about the problem - so I won’t derail this thread either. I started my own thread awhile back, but still haven’t found the problem.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2nd-gen-mysterious-looseness-grinding-help.623948/#post-21304503

More shops have been visited and money spent, and still feels like my front end is going to fall apart at any minute.

PM if you’re interested in meeting up in the future and maybe earning some cash.

Chased out? I have serious doubts about that. Sounds a bit dramatic. You do realize the Nashville people are all Tennessee people too, right? At any rate, here's some constructive advice:

Brake dust shields. They easily get bent when working on the suspension and are hard to notice being an issue. Pull the towards the midline of the vehicle.

    Tighten your seat mounting bolts.

Check your steering rack, and steering shaft.

    Check your carrier bearing.

Check your driveshaft angles, did you install a diff drop or degree shims?

Are you certain you're not just experiencing driving a non-stock truck? If something were going to "fall apart" it likely would have in a lot less than 10 months.

    Good luck with your reward.
