    I searched for this topic but couldn't find anything about it.

    Is the low quality resolution because of the head unit or the camera's?

    Thanks for the links, great info in them but still one questions remains; If you have panoramic view, would you have to upgrade the head unit for better clarity with the same cameras or the cameras instead of the head unit?

    Both I would imagine-- I don't think the Toyota engineers decided to code their stitching software to take use of any camera/panorama angle (only their own suppliers) and I don't think the cameras they installed are necessarily that great to begin with. The big issue is the backup camera where I think they just changed out the lens to wide angle and totally butchered the image. Compared to say a Cadillac with a high res backup camera, you could put a crap lens on it and it would still look good.
