It doesn’t help when elected officials are advocating for a rent strike. Looking at you AOC.

Edit: So I don’t get accused of being political, it’s just a fact I stated: https://www.google.com/amp/s/therealdeal.com/2020/04/27/aoc-rent-strikers-have-no-choice/amp/

I saw abfew articles on this earlier. As much as i dont wanna pay my rent...ever, we still gotta pay. They have been sending out emails essentially saying they will offer relief if you were affected and have supporting documents where I live. I understand, but this goes back to the fact that people do not budget and live beyond their means. Bill's, emergency fund, saving, saving some more, THEN spending money.

So yeah, an actual eviction would be very bad press. Starting eviction proceedings has other goals than necessarily actually putting them on the street.

#1 eviction proceedings can take a good while to go through. Depends on the state. Some take up to a year.
#2 the court would force the point of the reason for lack of payment - and if a true case of unemployment the landlord can work something out with the tenant - and if just a ballsy tenant deciding to rent-strike, perhaps the prospect of a court order would change their mind.

All this would be moot if the unemployed tenant simply talks to the landlord and works something out instead of just not paying.

If this food shortage narrative has as much credibility as the shortage of hospital beds narrative, that’s great news and means we should have a food surplus!

I don’t think shortage is the appropriate term in either case. I’m sure plenty of that meat is in the freezers of the people trying to figure out where to store the 1,000 rolls of toilet paper they still have. I saw the end caps full of giant bottles of hand sanitizer nobody wants anymore. They’ll be giving that away soon. And all the big grocery chains will have rolls of ground beef on sale for 1.99 a lb if you buy 5 pounds or more after they overstock and face the fear of it spoiling.

Actually it's not true, I bought at 42.41 and I'm setting my limit sale for 42.42 so like, I'll earn a few cents :p Don't know where it's going to land instead yet.

Yeah they’ll drop quick this morning. If RCL took out a loan like Carnival did then they may actually make it.. at least for this year.
Two weeks ago they said they could make a recovery and now last week they say they aren’t sure.. Not sure what happened in a weeks time, but am I the only one that remembers that report two weeks ago? The info you just posted was released today on RH, but NCLh made the statement last Tuesday according to the report.

They're offering relief with no downside? Take advantage of that man, pump that money into something that you can actually earn equity

I know your thoughts on it.
I’m not going to say there weren’t some hospitals short on beds. But that’s really a poor allocation of beds, not a shortage. When my first kid was born we were kicked out of our room after 24 hours because they didn’t have enough beds for the maternity unit that weekend. I tried to tell cnn but they didn’t give a shit.

It's about like TP. everyone is making a run on it, but food processing plants have been shutdown (as if by design... :tinfoilhat:).
