Hi team. I really want to get the OVTune done, but A) I don't have a PC (and won't be buying one) and B) even if I did, I'd surely f**k something up. Is there anybody in Oregon that has done this and could help me install it? I've reached out to OVTune, but they haven't gotten back to me. Any help would be awesome. And I don't mind driving to you. I live a little east of Eugene, but am constantly traveling around the state to camp, fish and surf. Thanks a million!

Hey there, I can help you, but you'll still need your own PC to register the software to.

Thanks so much for the offer. Really, that's awesome. I appreciate it. Oh wow. I can't just register it with a Mac computer and then have the install done on a PC? I have no hatred or anything towards PCs. I'm just a Mac guy and can't believe I'd have to go buy an entire laptop just to install some software. Seems like a real good way to cut your customer base in half.

Or they expect potential customers to be informed about what they’re wanting to buy.

Also, half is a huge exaggeration of Mac/PC split.

    Good luck.

Windows is a listed requirement on their webpage and on this forum since it was in development.

You don't have to buy a new PC for it. A lot of us run Bootcamp on our Macs and it works fine

Definitely more PC users out there. Just trying to make a point that it would appeal to more people if there was a way around the PC requirement.

And I know what I want to buy. OVTune software to enhance the performance of my truck. Hence the thread. Trying to give them money.

Thanks for the help and all the potential solutions you offered though. I appreciate it!

Oh wow. Sweet. I'll do some research on Bootcamp and get back to you in the PM. Can't thank you enough for offering to help out. Standby. I'll know more soon. Stoked!

I run OVTune on my Mac through Bootcamp. Works fine once past the windows security stuff. I’m guessing the new VF tuner stuff will play well too.

Awesome! Yeah. I heard that earlier in the thread. I didn’t even know you could do that with an Apple computer. Shows you how to tech savvy I am. Working it out now. Hopefully get it installed next week at some point. Thank you so much! Is it a fairly easy install?

Epic. Thanks! I’ve sorta figured that part out I think. Was actually referring to the OVTune software. Thanks so much!

I’m in the same situation, anybody here in Oregon that has experience with installing it and programming it. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I'm also running a Mac. Also would like more info. How to go about getting the tune, what else needs to be purchased, how to program it and use it to it's full potential.

Did you purchase anything yet? The best bang for you buck is probably having someone flash the tune for you. We charge $250 and that’s a fraction of the overall cost.

No I haven’t purchased anything yet. What would be the total cost on this?

$379.99 for the software and cable and $390 for the tune pack which may still be on sale for $300. So $770 or $680.
