I've been running dash cams in both my Taco and my wife's T4R for a couple years now, I've captured some near misses along the way, thought it would be fun to post them here for your viewing pleasure and may others would like to share any footage you have captured as well. I think every responsible driver should run a dash cam, you risk your deductible if you can't prove your innocence. I've been able to prove I was not at fault at least once which resulted in a $600 check from the other drivers insurance and I was able to buff out the scratches. Maybe this will inspire others to get one.

This was just last weekend, coming from a long weekend camping.

The time I got sideswipped in the T4R, this one got me the $600 check.

Almost nailed by a dump truck that ran the red.

My buddy and I were leaving Home Depot we were debating whether to have the tailgate up or down with our 20 2x4s in the bed. we went with the tailgate up option then saw this guy down the road with his tailgate down. Moral of the story always secure your load

Nobody likes an uncontrolled load, could end up anywhere.

what cam are you guys running? i realize this is a question that will get tons of variability lol. I have a 2nd gen 2008 and don't have the luxury of that rear view mirror plug in port. what would u recommend, do I try to go basic and see if i even like it and just have it for the "what if moments"? I back my truck into my parking space most of the time. was considering just doing a front cam with cloud availability and would hardwire in. or would it be recommended to get something that you could expand on? ex. do you have to get something like the thinkware that will accept a partner rear cam if u wanted at a later date? or do most of them not work well with others ? like do u have to get a branded one that could come with a rear option kit in order to expand to the rear option later ?
