I traded that area for central oregon a few years ago. For some reason they only seem to put DC's in BFE (cheap power/water).

I run the North American helpdesk for one of our product lines for an automation company specializing in industrial laundry equipment. I help people troubleshoot industrial controls and do a bulk of the training. Kind of a behind the scenes industry I didn't know existed, but now realize the world would be hard pressed without. 14 years in and still love the daily challenges.

 

I always thought that would be an interesting trade. I do industrial controls. Every time i am in an elevator i think about how that industry is getting more and more vital. Every thing is going up and down more and more.

 

Retired (not my choice) from 3 major back operations.
Worked in R&D for 2 motorcycle/atv exhaust companies. Designed, tested and dyno tuned exhaust systems.

 

What type of commissioning?

 

Mechanical and electrical, L2-L5. I work for the GC overseeing the whole Cx process, ensuring that the subcontractors have everything lined up for the CxA.

Neat. I'm a MEP CxA. Mostly Higher Ed and Healthcare.

 

I have been in warehousing since I was in high school in 1975. You name it I have done it on the docks. I retired 1/19 from working full time at 59 from a major automation company running their receiving docks. I thought I was done and took a part time job with a tactical eyewear company running their mail room 25 hours a week. It turned out to be a terrific opportunity and I am now running all their warehouse operations. I am a supervisor now and still able to work 25 hour weeks with full paid insurance benefits. I was driving 20 miles to work and now its 4. This late in life something like this happens. Ill enjoy it while it lasts or I decide Im done completely.

 

I was an Operator at a commercial Power Station for awhile, left when the industry got real shaky post Fukushima. Been a Power House Operator for Anheuser-Busch ever since. Can’t say I really miss Nuclear Power at all. It did provide me with amazing training and opportunities however.

nice. I’m working my way towards reactor operations. I’ve been out of school for 2 years, would like to get into the SRO training, but well see
