What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I like those rear shock mounts, what are they capable of running 12” or 14”? Wheel spacers needed with them?

 

But if the tabs lock in your caster and camber in the wrong specs, then this to me is stupid. I know the cam eccentrics on most tacomas, when aligned after lift, are not in the centered position.

 

It has adjustable plates, meaning you can choose from three different plates per corner. Dead center, or 3/4° off either direction. Of course not as much adjustability as a factory bolt but close enough.

 

You should do a retrofit! I'm doing that to mine currently. Gutting out all the parts inside and upgrading. D2s 5.0, ss3 driving pods, and sequential switchbacks. Would be way worth it.

 

This week I repainted my hi-lift jack and shovel and installed AJT climate /4x4 knobs.

 

You should legit build and sell these dude.

 

Are you mounting the SS3's in such a way that they're adjustable?

12s or 14s, spacer would depend upon your wheel offset, my -38s clear with 35x12.50s but a lessor offset would need spacers.

 

I would if I could get these done correctly. This is my 3rd retrofit and first of this kind so a lot of trial and error going through.

 

I'm trying to at the moment. I just been modifying the original bracket and making my own to go along with it. I think once I get everything settled and adjusted to my liking. I'm just going to tighten them and keep them in that place forever.

Interesting. Had a similar setup on a 1996 Miata I autocrossed and road raced in college.

 

Yep, there are always pros and cons.

Mine has stock gears (3.73). Completely stock other than blocks, spacers, and a Pedal Commander. It has plenty of power, it's quicker than stock in 0-60 mph. I tow often too.
