No way. It’s the same in the beer market with BA stouts.

I’ll just take a sip off someone else’s bottle at that point. I don’t have that kind of FOMO (or money).

Wood is a lot more forgiving to me than metal.. obviously you're not likely to find a piece of mesquite to make a shelf.. but a nice piece of oak would be nice.

I honestly don't know much about wood either..I just make shit up as I go! Haha

You haven't seen @Bigdaddy4760 's tools for "convincing" metal to do stuff, apparently. I mean, if we can make something *I'm* helping build out of metal look good, then it must be fairly forgiving.

Oh I'm aware... Just referring to my recent metal fiasco and wooden solution!

Some preliminary designs for a Texas whiskey shelf... looks like I'd have room for 12-18 bottles at this configuration. Not a lot of actual shelf space for such a large wall hanger at 4'x4' with a lot of negative space. The vertical bottle area dimensions account for a 1/2" thick shelf at the bottom of each box that would be mounted on a cutout in the shape of Texas of course.

I measured some of my bottles for rough estimates. The taller Whitmeyer bottles measure around 13" in height (like BTAC bottles), Ironroot around 12", and Balcones and short Whitmeyers come in under 9". I only have about 10 bottles of Texas booze right now, so extra space would be incentive to get more bottles:rofl:

My Scotch cabinet and Bourbon shelf are packed pretty full. I need more bottle space in general, but a dedicated space for my "local" stuff would be awesome.

It's pretty damn good. I'd buy another at a reasonable price.

Same! I skipped past backyard BBQ and next time I went back to the shop it was gone :( that's the only 2019 I didn't get to try.

I've been dishing out samples lately like it's cool. Is Amazon still the best place to get Boston Rounds? I need more.

If you know you'll use them, PM me your address and I'll mail them to you. I just want to make sure they get used and don't end up round filed.

SoCal folks: Bevmo got Michter's 10 Bourbon today. $159. More than last year, but I heard MSRP went up this year. Bevmo doesn't tend to gouge, so this probably the going rate around here for 2020 version.
Look on their website to see which stores still have it, then call to hold. For some reason you can't buy it on their website.
