Long story short. I ordered the wrong version of this and was having a hard time getting in touch with someone to confirm the cancellation. Taking the current situation into account their response of 36 hours is understandable and it turns out behind the scenes their system had indeed cancelled the order.

Looking forward to receiving my rack hopefully on Monday!

I've had thoughts of installing a roof rack but, the price of a Primsu and other name brands had stopped me from pulling the trigger as I cannot justify the expense for this type of item......enter OfferUp and Hooke...I picked a new one up for $215.

I came across this discussion and found your input very informative. Installed it last night, took the truck for a ride this morning and I'm beyond pleased with the rack and the outcome.

    Thumbs up!

Got my Hooke rack on my 3rd gen a few months ago and love it. Did the ole weather strip trick and put some clear vinyl down on the roof where the strip meets the cab paint.

Threw a 100 watt panel on it to charge the 2 35ah agm batteries I have hidden behind the rear seats.

Quick update..... I've had this rack for almost a year now. I put it to the test a lot!! It has held up to everything. Doing donuts with 3 kayaks strapped on top! But it has always been loud, changed out the flange material a couple of times but still pretty loud. Finally decided to get a light bar and after looking into mounting options we decided just to remove the front fairing and used the available holes. Worked out great! In the extreme plus side, it it silent! Don't even now it's there! Light fit perfectly! On another note the front fairing rubbed the paint away from touching the roof. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MY1W7AO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_vs4TEbAHW6YQS

Did you have the bulb seal under the edge of the fairing or anything to protect the paint?

Yeah I did, didn't think it was pressing to hard but definitely made a nice mark. It is the roof, so not to worried. The truck is due for a paint job.

Used basic gate L. Bracket, 1" x 5". Bracket had 3 holes on each side. I cut 2 holes off one end. I bolted the bracket to the rack with the hardware from the fairing (removed it) I bolted it where there was one open hole from where the fairing was and the square hole behind it. Light bar came with mounting hardware that was then used to bolt to the l bracket. Most importantly you want to mount the bracket prior to cutting it so that you can bend the bracket to about 110 degrees to match the angle of the light. Once bent remove trim, slot single side hole, paint and your ready!

I just mounted on of these. Surprisingly good quality. I did have a leak on the drivers side, but was able to seal that up. Make sure you insta. It as the directions say. I assembled mine on the ground then tied to put it on the truck. It was almost impossible to get every thing lined up and I ended up striping one of the nuts in the roof ( likely where my leak came from). Otherwise the rack it self is great. You will defiantly notice more noise over the Toyota one.

Well.. I bought it after reading everything and hearing people had issues.... and they sent me 2 of the 2nd crossbar. Did this happen to anyone else? How was the customer service? Is that rep still following this thread does anyone know? I sent them an email before I proceed with the install. And I’m positive I have 2 of the same, I check the measurements with what they have advertised on Amazon and it’s definitely 2- #2’s.

thanks guys, any help is good.
