If it gets to bad i just hop on the road and head to the next spot. I haven't done the last two due to ankle injury and to much snow for a bike

    Thanks, you too!

As creepy as it is, I know where you live. I’m on the other side, off of Howlett hill.

Paul, Nick, Dan, I'm in Victor NY. I'm a recent member and not enough history to be able to post anything for sale. I have a first gen, 2002 TRD Off Road ext cab Very nice Taco for sale I'll be putting on craigslist this week. I bought this truck for my Dad 15 years ago. It had 44k miles it now has 88k. I bought it from a guy that inherited it from his dad that passed. My dad now was told he can no longer drive due to his vision. He's 90 this year, but you would never know it. The truck had the frame replaced along with many new parts by Toyota in 2012. I have the bill and list. It came to $14k. It also has new gas tank last year. I put new bumpers front and rear on the truck this week and having new tires, Coopers this week. Not knowing many Tacoma guys, I figured I would let Upstate folks it will be for sale. A 2 owner, 2 old guys under and 90k miles. All service records, non-smokers, super clean inside. Seats have had covers on them always. SS Westin Tube steps. Hood is faded from sitting outside. Box was Rhino lined since new and is incredible shape. I would keep this truck for me if I didn’t have a Loaded 2018 TRD Sport.

Relatively new Tacoma owner here in Syracuse, picked up my '06 back in august and have been loving it!

    IMG_20190803_163441_495.jpg

I'm hoping to get out on a few adventures this summer up to the Adks with the wife for camping.

I'm also a cyclist and I ride the roads out in Marcellus/camillus/skaneateles all the time. Really looking forward to throwing the mountain bike in the bed and getting back to riding morgan hill, I had to take a summer off from mountain biking due to shattering my ankle rock climbing last winter.

Nice truck! I was in the ADKs last weekend...all my places to explore are snowmobile trails now so we just did some hiking. Made me wish I hadn't sold my sleds though...

There are some sweet places to do some good single track riding right here in Camillus. Morgan hill is a cool area too, but there are some areas a little more to the south east that are even more remote and a ton more space to do some riding in. Send me a message if you want more details.

Seems to be a decent amount of us right in the same area. Wonder if it would be worth trying to get a ride together, trucks/bikes/both?

Hello, I'm new to the area and looking for places I'm *allowed* to take my truck, may I ask where this is? It looks beautiful. I'm stock height and tires.

Anyone in here live in NY by the Finger Lakes or have ridden mountain bike trails up there that way? Anything worth stopping at or hitting?

I’m in Rochester and don’t ride mt bikes but can possibly scout something for you ahead of time if you need it.

I hiked a trail that had a few bikes on it that looked kinda fun, just east of Rochester. Lots of little hills in the woods with some technical looking turns. If you’re interested I can shoot you the coordinates of where I parked.

Use TrailForks app, Shindaigan Hollow just South of Ithaca. South Campus Quarry by Syracuse University, neat little town park between Candaigua and Rochester.9299FC98-ADE3-4958-8400-4C9B0A155CCA.jpg

Thanks man. But I know, I have but it only gives limited information And not so much reviews that are informative. I was just hoping to get some insight on what would be best to hit if only had one day to ride.

I’m staying in the Bradford area 20 mins from Watkins Glen

Bear Swamp State Forest has some great trails for biking. Its a little closer to Syracuse, on the SouthWest corner of Skaneateles Lake, but a cool place to ride. If you're going to go to Syracuse, the South Campus Quarry is nice. Split Rock Quarry is a little west of the city. Great Bear Rec area is north of Syracuse, and has awesome trails, is probably my favorite out of the ones I listed.

Hey y'all, excuse the copy/paste across similar threads. I'm native to Seattle however i'll be spending the summer in upstate NY, near Lake Placid. I'm planning to pull the trigger on a hybrid front bumper and want to have it installed while i'm up there. I'm looking for shop recommendations to do the bumper install along with some suspension work. Does anyone have recommendations on a shop in the broader NE area that does good work / has plenty of experience installing bumpers? I'm willing to drive a ways if needed.

    Thanks in advance.

I think there’s a place in Glens Falls, I can’t think of places near Placid or Saranac Lake right now. Maybe Plattsburgh?

There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show step by step how to mount most aftermarket bumpers. If you are at all handy and can get another set of hands to help you , you can do it yourself.
