    Black taillights, blackout headlights,
From my experience having similar headlights, definitely upgrade the light output is horrible, but they definitely look cool!

Lightoutput will be hot garbage as is.
Bare minimum upgrade to some leds (2stroke or Supernova V4) but preferably retrofit some new projectors.

6.jpg May2020.jpg If you're near the FL/GA border I'll sell you my set for $100. Output isn't great but some people upgrade the bulbs. I went with retrofits.

I have the Tacoma beasts for my 07 and compared to stock the output really is garbage. They look awesome though and definitely modernize the front end

hid and halogen projectors are made differently. Projector isn't meant for hid, you will burn the lens over time.

I actually bought these lights shortly after getting the truck back in October 2019. Picked em up off Amazon. You can see em in my avatar, i'll link a pic in the post as well.

No complaints about them other than previously mentioned, which is that the light output sucks. The cutoff is very distinct so it makes adjusting it a little easier. I have yet to replace my bulbs as I don't do much night driving anyways but I would definitely suggest doing so, I plan to get around to it soon.

I did seal them with some silicone stuff out of a tube I bought from O-reilly, same stuff I always use on aftermarket headlights. Just ran it around the edge between the clear plastic and black plastic housing, haven't had any issues with leaks or moisture since doing that upon install, nor had any problems with clearcoat flaking or anything yet, though it's only been 6 months. They are direct plug n play as well so that was nice.

I will say though the vertical cutoff adjustment is kind of a bitch to get to once they're fully installed just due to tight spaces but it's manageable.

I would not put in HID bulbs, they're halogen projectors. You might be able to get away with LED, i will probably give it a shot and see how bad the light pattern is to determine whether i'll keep LEDs or just switch to the whitest halogens i can find.

I have the 2005-2011 spyder/tacomabeast assemblies and used both LEDs in them. Nobody was blinded because I aimed them properly and the light pattern is very similar to halogen.
If those in the OP are a "spyder" variant they can be retrofited relatively easily to Morimoto mini H1 projectors.
I know because I've done it.

yeah you'll definitely wanna switch out the halogens ASAP then haha. here's an idea of how much yellower they are compared to the white bar.

also i'll say, the white bar is pretty underwhelming if it's sunny, but under cloud cover or at night, it really pops.

for some reason they look a little blue here, but in person they're pure white.
