Just bought my 2020 with JBL. I'm finding the stock deck unnecessarily cumbersome to navigate. In my 2008, I installed a Pioneer AVH-2300NEX and was able to configure it to auto launch Android Auto when my phone was plugged in. Has any one found a way to do this with the stock Toyota JBL Deck? Ideally I'd just like to have the full Android Auto experience launch when I start up the truck. Right now I have to tap Android Auto and Android Auto again. It's really friggen annoying.

I have found the system to kind of "learn" over time in my 2020. Although, if the truck sits for a few days you'll have to go into the menu and click "Android Auto" again (which kind of doesn't answer your question too much). but that's all I've seen so far.
