I don’t know if there’s anyone closer to you, but I’m in NJ. Definitely more than an hour, but you’re welcome to check it out if you’d like. Zip code 07755.

Yeah absolutely. I just didn't want to mess with additional wiring if I didn't have to. I'm in MT so our "hot" period is pretty short + manageable.

Anyone know the bulb seal that GFC uses? I tried looking on mcmastercarr and didn't find anything with the adhesive backing. Also, how many of you guy have seen better success with keeping water out without the bed caps on?

Virtually any double bulb seal will work, McMaster doesn’t carry TrimLok but as long as the space frame sits on or fits between the bulbs it’ll work. Adhesive is nice but not absolutely required.

TrimLok changed up their Flap Seal used on the back door against the tailgate. It’s more rigid than it used to be and doesn’t seal on a third gen tailgate as well. Kinda bummed, but maybe a tailgate plate replacement like mobtown or relentless would fix the issue

Got my color samples today for my October build. After looking at them I’m thinking about going with the color custom option. Wanted see if anybody has done a quicksand color match? Thanks

The thing that sucks is now with the extruded handles the color match is just the space frame.

I don’t know about that. I just did my build out this afternoon. I had the options to go custom color for the frame and custom color for the panels.

The handles on the front and rear used to match the frame, but the steel tubes had issues with water intrusion and rust. Now you get less value for your money.

Sounds like he is referring to the grab bar and hinge bar of the the tent. Those use to be steel and powder coated the same color as the space frame. Now those are aluminum and I think only come in black.

If all you want is to color match the panels, then that doesn't affect you. Custom colors are priced out separately for the panels vs the space frame, and another separate cost for the tent extrusion sides... at least that was the case when I ordered custom colors.

The gf sewed up a little window cover for when Im parking at trailheads and don't want people to peak in. She just used some scrap fabric and i bought these magnets off of Amazon. She sewed the magnets into the fabric and i used 3m to stick magnets to door. turned out a lot better than I thought. You could also use a magnet on the door and a washer on the fabric because these magnets are SUPER strong.

Looks pretty handy; I like that it doesn't block all light.

Anyone running a waterport? Will it still mount up to the rails with a gfc?

i have one, and yes if you make some spacers. I guess I needed longer bolts too but I don’t remember.. either way, very cheap and very easy to still mount it to the bed rails. Mounting it to the front rail might work without spacers but I don’t know. I can take some pics if you want, but I’m using 1/2” aluminum tube, cut to 1” lengths or something like that.
